I get why they fired him but still...If I was Harry I would have done something to the council members and Udina, like banish the bones in their left foot or something, just to spite them.
With how Harry is portrayed in the story I'm surprised he didn't do anything.

Awesome story, even thought the ending was a bit of a downer... I mean, except for destroying part of the Citadel (which should have been blamed on the Reaper anyways), i'd think there was more damage and loss of life in canon. Personally, i think Harry got the boot because the council felt angry for not listening to Harry in the first place :p Seriously though... How much work is it to move one itsy bitsy statue, just in case the person known for being accurately insane is somehow right, again? Risk assessment is usually a combination of probability of an event happening times the severity of the danger said event poses. I'd think galactic extinction would make the risk factor quite high even if there was only a 0,0000000001% chance of Harry being right.
I'm also wondering what will happen to that AI they brought with them from Ilos... Will Harry be tinkering with it during his 'vacation', or will it take over a Geth platform and call itself Ultron? Is Liara keeping it hostage until it coughs up all it knows about the Protheans? Is Tali disassembling it so she can figure out how to take down the Geth from the inside? I've got nothing :)

Either way, i'm super excited that you chose to make a sequel : ) (You can't really see how big the smile is, because i don't want to take up extra line space by putting the full thing there :p) My suggestion for title would be: Getting Too Old For This 2: Too Older (or Two Older).

Ouch! Harry really can’t seem to catch a break. In the situation he was in and with what the council left him to work with, along with having to correct their failures and not to even mention the misinformation they gave him… Well yeah what he accomplished was a hell of a lot better than the alternative despite the cost.

Looking forwards to the sequel, wonder how his home will inevitably get destroyed this time and who will come running to him for help. Also I don’t think you mentioned that witches and wizards had died out before in the story but honestly I’m happy with that. Another magical running around would diminish the consistency that gives magic and Harry’s place in the story as much value, that and it’d make the story feel waaay to cracky.

Can't wait for the sequel! I remember where Harry's new farm plot is so we'll be in for a treat.

I rank this as my my favourite harry potter book.

That last chapter wrapped enough up but also left questions for the next one.

Good chapter

Suspending him doesn't make any sense. This is a man who controlled fire that fucked the entire citadel up, and they're leaving him without supervision or oversight. Logically they would want more control over Harry, not less.

Personally, if I were in Harry's shoes, I'd be looking into how to cast a planetary Fidelius. Once he's able to hide away a habitable world somewhere, he could put the word out for people that actually believed him and never screwed him over to join him in a sanctuary world, then tell the rest of the galaxy to fuck off and die. Just implement one magically-enforced rule upon everyone that joins his little society: Don't backstab or otherwise screw over Harry and his friends/family.

In essence, the plan would be to let the galaxy sink or swim on its own, and if the Reapers win again use his hidden world as sort of a time capsule, waiting out the harvest before promptly spreading out and re-seeding civilization across the galaxy so that the next time the Reapers come they'd be in for some really nasty surprises.

Given the tone/theme of this fic/series, I'm sure that's not going to happen, but damned if I wouldn't be tempted in his shoes.

Well, at least you got this one completed at long last. I recently revived "Nitimur in Vetitum", which this story heavily inspired, and I pointed anyone reading it in your direction. Hopefully, I boosted your views and faves. ;)
