An amazing story

On the one hand, quite the nice study of prejudice. It seems likely in Cannon that things would have gone this direction, and Harry deciding to start opposing the system at age 30 was well done. The critique of 'moderates' is fair, and even more relevant in 2024 than it was when this was written.

On the other hand, the build-up to the big finale lasted a couple of chapters too long, and it promised more destruction than was actually achieved. Hogwarts was not burned down, nor even damaged.
And the epilogue (chapters 39-43) fell a bit flat. I was looking forward to what you could do in 4 chapters of happily-ever-after. But you never really got there. It would have been nice if you could have given us a chapter a couple of decades in the future, in which Harry might have a family, or some other kind of life that leaves a optimistic impression.

Also the thing about the deathly hallows was cool, but I never really got what the cloak said to Harry.

Awesome story

This story is so confusing. It's like two stories mixed together. On the one side we have the secret sun chamber that needs destroying, but the method of resolution has nothing to do with it. Neville's key stone plot is created but not used as somehow the destroying of the deathly hollows leads to the change of the wizarding world. That's a great idea, but it would have worked as well without the existence of the sun chamber.

I don't care for slashfic of any kind, so whenever I came across your author page, I just closed the tab and moved on. But this story didn't throw up any mental warnings when I saw it in peoples' favourite lists and so I read it.

Whatever I might think of your normal subject matter, this was a fantastic read. The heroes, the villains, all of it was very believable. Harry's powerful, maybe just enough to do what he needs to do, maybe more, but he doesn't go around flaunting it. The way you managed to convey the enemies' views in an incredibly casual and off-hand manner, that they can't even imagine being any different and that they don't even realise that they *are* the bad guys. Something which I have terrible trouble writing, and which you handled seemingly effortlessly.
