Reviews for Merlin - The Return of Arthur |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() Really enjoyable. It would of been nice to see Guias as well, but other than that I have no complaints. You did a very good job with this. I liked how you brought Merlin and Morgana together, and it was nice seeing Mordred redeem himself. I really liked both their characters before they turned. I thought Morguese got away before she was able to be killed, does that mean you're planning a sequel? |
![]() ![]() ![]() The last part of your story is really heartbroken and yet I loved very part of it. Poor Merlin. once again he has to make a great decision and the difficult part is that he has some many reasons to live this time. Yet I admire that he tries to take all the precautions to be sure his friends will succeed. Once again he has just a dragon he could speak out his fears and regrets with, but it's better his friends doesn't know about what he has to do. After all, they will have enough time to get used to it after the inevitable will happen if the vision proves true. Very nice chapter. Morgana and Merlin are lovely. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Morgana will not let him die. please |
![]() ![]() ![]() First idea of what is going to happen. I just wish Merlin would finally understand that his obsession of destiny and prophecy is the reason that some of them happen (often the bad ones) - self-fulfilling prophecy. He should have learned this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good chapter, but I must say I am a little worried about the direction of this. Please tell me it is not as simple as I fear, where Morgause (and maybe other sorcerers) are simply evil. It would benefit Uther's understanding of magic is all evil. Arthur and the entire Camelot gang are responsible that magic does not exist anymore, since all they have done is slaughtering and persecuting magic people (Merlin and Gaius might have talked the opposite but when it came to acting he was always with Arthur). If these guys are supposed to bring magic back there should be a really good reason. It should also be somehow included that these guys are supposed to repair what they have helped to destroy once. After all there must be some bad consequences from eliminating magic. That is the reason why it is needed to come back, isn't it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() There are so many things that are worth being said, but the ending is definately really impresive. The way you describe Merlin's fury and power, a power that could have brought the world at his feet and yet would have never brought him the justice and peace he is looking for - is really hard to describe how great your skills are. Mordred showed genuine wisdom as he advice him. In fact, love is what can turn a villian into a hero, it makes human even the most evil creature. I love the way Merlin and Morgana relationship goes; the kiss and his promise. It's sad she had to go, especially that he might die (well, she doesn't know that, but I've tried to put myself in Merlin's shoes and I think it must have been very difficult to let her go, knowing that they might have too little time) but I understand why she did it. So, Mordred turns into the good guy. I've always felt sorry for him. He didn't deserved to suffer so much and Merlin had been really mean with him just because that stupid prophecy. The way Merlin treated Mordred was one of the things I most dislike at Merlin. The mistery of the traitor is finally revealed. It seems it was Leon after all... |
![]() ![]() ![]() I wanna see them kiss |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story. I can't wait to find what will happen next. I'm not usually a fan of stories from the future as such stories inevitably arise the question ''what is Arthur role in the future", but it seems you found the answer for that. You did a great work by portraing the characters as being more mature and determinated. Hope you'll give Mordred a second chance too, but I'll understand if you won't. After all, we need a villian as well as heros. Merlin and Morgana's relationship starts to turn into something beautiful. I love the part when he told her he'd loved her for a thousand years. It's so sad they still don't trust each other, but Merlin had to do what is right and protect his friend. For a moment I feared she'd done something stupid. Yet I hoped she was just having a diary or something on her phone... |
![]() ![]() ![]() I an still laughing thinking of Merlin's "strut" |
![]() ![]() ![]() Regrettably, I'm with Padfootl0ve. The idea makes me sad so I'm hoping you're throwing red herrings at us. But if not, then I'm sure you'll find a way to justify it. I hope. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think Leon's the traitor and I'm really not happy about it. I realize it's completely possible he isn't, but I don't like thinking that he is. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Finally first hints that not only Morgana needs redemption. It's quite ironic that these knights, Merlin, Arthur, Gwen, etc. who were fighting magic all the time are now supposed to save the world with the help of magic. |
