Reviews for The Day The Chaos Stopped |

![]() ![]() ![]() I suppose Discord actually doing talking to somepony, even Pinkie the next morning, is too much to hope for. The Cadence idea tho. ;) Ah well, it was a good chapter, even if the ending was...well, it's not like it's likely Discord would do anything else anyway. :D Thanks for finishing it so quickly! ...Update another story soon please! *huggles you* |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm glad this isn't the last chapter. Discord disinterestedly being annoyed that he's too predictable, before realizing it's sign of the strength of their friendship, that she *gets* him, was so sweet. And her rudimentary pulley system and his amusement over the stairs to nowhere using part of the former stairs to nowhere, and just all of his internal monologue and, and *sighs happily* Update soon please! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh that was sweet. I loved how hard Fluttershy worked to bring chaos back. Her initial attempts were so adorable, and the way you wrote Discord fading from the normalcy was almost painful to read. |
![]() ![]() ![]() An update?! *fangirl squee* I see now why this took so long, having to go through the episode scene by scene like that. And the added bit, where he tries to *normalize the chaos dimension*! No wonder he started to fade, doing all that to not just himself, not just his main room, but to the rest of the house and part of the outside...Chaos ending chaos indeed. Specs and the clones were fun, and that bit with Discord turning down the pain and existential angst dials. That was creepy. In a different way than, Oppositionland, but still creepy. The Nightmare Moon toy says...*facepalm* And Celestia's worse? I like Discord's idea for Tia's better. ;) And Discord getting money by using his powers for games, nice touch! Update soon please! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good explanation on why Discord almost let himself fade away in that episode. It's almost as if he feels that if he loses Fluttershy, aka the only person (pony?) he loves and who loves him in return, (at least as a friend, if not romantically) then there's no point in living. Which is... sad, but also surprising. He's immortal, and he would probably be able to find love and/or friendship at some point later on even if she didn't want anything to do with him. But, I suppose it's hard for him to think that way when faced with the thought of losing his very first friend. The backstory for Discord's other self, Specs, was also very well thought out and interesting as well. I didn't put much thought into his duplicates while watching the episode, but this is a really good backstory for why he created Specs. Again, great fic! |
![]() ![]() ![]() True that episode was a twist and really did show this suicidal side of Discord. |
![]() ![]() ![]() First! The second person narration works for this story. I've been eagerly awaiting your take on Discordant Harmony, and while it is short, it is very well done. Loved Discord's foray into Pinkie's method for dealing with order. Bye, Specs! |
