It's good to see that U.A. was suspicious and while Bakugou's is an asshole. How exactly Kirishima attempts to justify Bakugou's bullying is something I want to see. After all for all they know about quirks there's also alot that they don't know and some quirks do have hidden activation requirements such as Death Quirks.

I'm not going to lie as of right now I consider Bakugou and Kirishima false heroes like Stain would. One just wants to be the best regardless of who he hurts to get to the top and the other makes excuses and seeks to rationalize all the bad his friend does instead of admitting that his friend is truly in the wrong.

What a cliffhanger to leave this on. And I like this story a lot so far! I've been trying to find a good villain deku for a long time and so far this is top of my list for them so thank you very much! You do a good job of moving the plot along and keeping it interesting, not just repeating the same story events or going completely off the rails, and the transition from regular deku to villain seems natural enough. I'll definitely be keeping an eye open for the next chapter

Nicely done and I already thought of how Izuku can explain his new found quirk away. He can simply claim that it just activated while he was sick or during the match itself. After all we don't know alot about quirks and as seen with death quirks some quirks arrive later than the standard young age and/or have hidden requirements. Therefore it's very possible that quirks can arrive when someone is going through puberty, so in essence their body going through the change triggers the activation of the hidden quirk.

As such if Izuku reveals that he only gained his quirk very recently he technically wouldn't be lying, which would help him float under the radar as the most easily believable lies have a grain of truth. Though I doubt that would stop Bakugou from making claims that Izuku was looking down on him for not using his quirk, like he does in canon...the selfish bastard.
