Wow, I consider myself lucky that this story was complete by the time I found it. You write beautifully, philosophically, and imbued such maturity for these characters. I wish this was canon!

This was a really good story. It was well-written with a plot that could put the original material to shame at times. Typically I abhor non-canon pairings because they feel too much like wish fulfillment rather than actual engagement with the writing, but you've made an exception. You sold me on the Zuko/Katara pairing even though I didn't want to like it. Bravo. Keep writing; the world needs more written art like this piece.

Ugh. This is so good. I've read a fair share of Zutara fanfiction and a lot of the time, I feel like authors go ooc with either Zuko or Katara at some point in their relationship, but yours is just perfect. It's exactly how I picture they would act in this situation, exactly how I imagine them falling for each other. I love how Zuko is his dorky, shy, socially awkward self and I absolutely love how you explored the dynamics of their relationship, in every phase of it. You highlighted everything that's right about Zutara, from the way Zuko is always respectful of Katara's wishes, patient for her to open up, allows her to be more than just somebody's something and genuinely understands what she feels, and Katara's will to make him understand that he's deserving of good things, that he's more than his mistakes and that he can open up with her, because she's loyal and kind. Ugh. And when Zuko's dying, oh my god! I've never cried reading fanfiction before (I barely cry reading books), but damn, I was a mess during that whole scene. Specially when Iroh asked the spirits not to take him away and Toph! not knowing how to handle what was happening, that was so realistic and well written! I didn't just shed tears, I was ugly crying. Ugh. Your writing is amazing and your storytelling is top notch! This is my new headcanon for the ending of ATLA, don't me.

The talk with Iroh, just wow. Is the part about Lu Ten Canon? Because it could be, might as well be, seems so reasonable. 8 can't remember that from the series but I'm bad with details and you definitely aren't.
The scene with Aang, oh man. Yes! Great character analysis. So very true - he is just a child in the end. And yes, he is a bit spoiled. He is ultimately so selfless, yet expects certain things from people to just happen or be. It's not truly being selfish, more like naive or something else...
And the rest, just perfect.

Your writing is so vivid and detailed. I can see it unfold so perfectly because you seem to think of everything, even the littlest things, that most would just dismiss as filler or unnecessary. Like Momo diving for the half-eaten peach. I read, saw, lived it. It happened and I was just like, this. This is what I want in my writing. Thanks for a phenomenal chapter. I really liked the part where Suki and Zuko bonded a bit. I think they could've been closer than the show made them considering he had her be his bodyguard in the comics.
