Very interesting story, love it!

Eheheheheh. This is great to finally be able to read this story. Do you know how annoying it is to have Patreon only things when you don't have the means to pay for it nor any point to get it since you'd use it once a month?

Well this looks like an interesting story. I didn't even know you'd starting posting this here yet, and already I see two chapters!

I can see Genma getting himself into a mess like that, even if I think the actual amount is over the top. Hopefully we'll get to see his comeuppance at some point. Or at least hear about it from Urd or her sister in the future. Ranma and his mother really got the raw end of that deal.

As for the curse following him, I'm okay with that. It's far from the strangest thing in One Piece. And Ranma might not be a bad guy, but he can be, and often is, a bit of an ass. So I find the curse after how he treated Urd slightly karmic.

I can see their point about Luffy not training enough though. Part of it could've been the environment, given his personality Luffy probably would've tried punching the mast or something and risked breaking the ship. I hope Ranma get's his fruit powers though, non-rubber Luffy feels odd for some reason. Even if he considers the powers 'cheating', which feels more like something Akane would say.

Garp made me roll my eyes though. He's a better man than Genma and much stronger, but he's only a few notches higher on the 'should not be allowed to train a child' scale.

Makino coming along is a pretty big shift though, and since Luffy mentioned 'brothers' I'm guess a Celestial Dragon had a very bad day at some point. I look forward to seeing more of that in the future, because some people just deserve it.

Great chapter, I have to ask though, why did you keep referring to Nami as Orange Town haired girl?

Very interesting I rather like the interaction that people are having in this as it rather fits and shows just how different this Ranma/Luffy is from cannon Luffy.

Every time you described Nami you said Orange Town haired girl, I think you changed all the orange occurrences in the chapter to orange town when you where editing it.

So Buggy the Clown is out of the game and Zero has joined the crew, good. The rapidity they were defeated is evident compared from canon...they won't be an easy prey for the first pirates, marines and other crew ex-grand Line or Grand Line for that matter. Of course, the senior members of Baroque Works and Crocodile are entirely different level...

Amazing start I love the idea that Luffy/Ranma are actually taking their dreams seriously. In Ranma1/2 Ranma don't know what he wanted; he was so used to having people deciding things for him that that he never truly because independent in making his own chooses free of what the people around him demanded of him even when he didn't need to. Genma raise Ranma in a way so he wouldn't function in society in doing so would become dependent on Genma so he can take advantage of Ranma by saying "that is for weak girls boy" or something along those lines so he can do what Genma wants. By doing this Ranma would lose any interest in what he was curious about in till lose interest in any thing that wasn't fighting. Ranma also didn't have any true drive to be the best he didn't go around the world to learn every style and master every technique in his traveling with Gemna let alone improve the techniques he already knows never mind making them better. he always learned what Gemna showed him so Ranma would stay weaker than Gemna so Ranma would do as Gemna said. Renma didn't know what Ki was in till half way through the magna an Ranma keeps insisting he is the best which in an of its self is bullsh#t that honor belong to Herb and Ryoga. Herb because he had completed control of his Ki he can master any technique he wanted but be who he was Herb never bothered to learn more or be the best because he doesn't care about being only thing that Herb cared about was managing his kingdom an that was it; I bet if the law in his kingdom didn't care about women being less then men Herb wouldn't have bothered to go to Japan to find a cure for his curse.
Next we have Ryoga because who in the beginning he doesn't have people teaching him how to fight all that Ryoga knows was all mostly self taught he is basically a streetbroler with no true style throwing pouches and kicks at random with no rhythm or focuse at best a technique here an there and Ryoga figure out to use Ki at least six months before Ranma. And Ryoga had the excuse of not having a teacher where Ranma don't because Ranma had been all around China and most of Japan to learn from teachers from all those dojos and monasterys but being the moron that Ranma was he didn't bother to learn form those teachers unless it was Gemna who taught him.
Ranma would have been the best had he the drive to because best but he doesn't. Ranma don't bother to learn or improve unless someone comes along and beats his ass into the ground or bets against him to prove he's better. Even then when win he stops improving and waits for the next person to bet against him or beat his ass.
Finally we have Luffy now most people believes that the most of the fights that Luffy losses is because he's a stupid that is not true. Luffy by all means is a monster when comes to fighting. Out of most manga/anima characters Luffy if you drop him Bleach,Naruto,Hunter X Hunter, Hitman Reborn, Street Fighter,Halo,RWBY he most likely come out on top. No what does Luffy in is his fu#king attention span Luffy doesn't bother to learn; like Herb Luffy doesn't care about being the strongest or the cares about being the Pirate King and the Pirate King isn't decided by being the strongest or the best its decided by the one who finds One Piece is the Pirate King. And if doesn't have any thing to do with One Piece Luffy won't bother with it had someone told Luffy that in order to be the Pirate King he has to be the best and strongest he would have went all around the world and learned all he can to be the best.
And pairing if you what my opinion on this single pairing is better in my opinion than hearm because it doesn't put value in characters be use in those stores its just about sex. And out of all characters of One Piece is Robin she be able club down on all of Luffy/Ranma's negative treats such as his arrogance and impulsive. Robin also wouldn't mind their curse being dual gender, she would also have the patience to teach Luffy/Ranma what thay miss in their childhood a normal education she would put in an way to keep their attention by making it interesting or beting them into learning using their pride like this"Well I guess your not the best because the best already know this." In a camle fashion as stated it is fact that all the best fighters know this. Robin is the one I believe to pair with Luffy /Ranma give all the crap she been thought her life.

I have to admit I am already loving this story. He may not have the luffy brand protagonist charisma, but he has his own style of reaching people that works just as well. Plus he can actually help crew members learn to truly kickass. Zoro is going to be WAY stronger than he was pre timeskip. I can see sanji getting some serious improvements too while the rest at least will learn enough to give them some basic combat abilities.

What I am most curious about though, is how you will have luffy grow stronger. I mean, will you just stick with "Is much faster and stronger and more skilled at hand to hand"? Or will he be picking up in universe skills like the rest of the 6 powers, and maybe even devil fruit powers to go with it? As an example, i could totally see THIS luffy being willing to eat ace's devil fruit at dressrosa after winning it. If you can come up with a justification for it like honoring his fallen brother or whatever. But I could also see him refusing, if only because any external powerup would be "cheating" to him. Unless he just flat out cant fight the logia types, especially the admirals, without one of his own. Yeah haki works, but if they have good enough haki well...

welp i absolutely HATED how you started this off... up until you got to him becoming luffy i was about to drop this story and give you a "are you out of your mind?" about it... after that though it slowly showed its potential and because of that i will give it a wait and see and a nod of respect because the 2nd half of the prologue was pretty decent. i just hope you wont make too many nods to the first half of the prologue because that was the most BLEH way ranma could end up somewhere i have seen from you by a LONGSHOT (usually hey are really good ideas but this one...) well lets just say this one was what i would have expected from a half-cocked joke of a writer not my favorite fanfic writer.
