I am really enjoying your detailed side stories. Like the description of the rooms, and the process of cleaning up the place and disposing of the items. Having helped to clean up places of elderly relatives or friends of the family after their passing (some of them serious hoarders), I completely understand what they are going through right now and just how much work is to be done.

I loved this story. I had previously read most of this story as it was posted but I enjoy a story the most when I can read it in completed form. I loved the new characters, the new story lines and the minimal angst in this story. I always take more enjoyment from stories that are prosperous rather than impoverished. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your story. I know this was written some time ago but wanted to say that I enjoyed it immensely and have no negative comments. Sure editing is important but it was easy to read, had a lot of action and I rather enjoy a long story. Reading it made me a bit nostalgic for when families behaved this way. Family gatherings these days rarely involve everyone being there. It doesn't seem to be a priority as it was when I was younger. We would have at least a once a year reunion and all families would be there. Planning would start a year before so everyone had a chance to make arrangements, get off work, etcetera. Even when we have a reunion now, it just isn't the same. The young people are all on their phones playing games, TikTok, Twitter and they pay no attention to us or to each other. It is really sad and I feel a real step backwards for society as a whole. Anyway, I am off to see some of your other stories.

I highly enjoyed this continuation and further fleshing out of these family relationships!

Do you plan to write about Teddy coming of age or the girls all coming out?

I very much enjoyed this story along with ‘Giving Consequence’. I haven’t read anything like this series you have created, and I liked that the point of views were people other than Elizabeth and Jane as so many people do.

As I was reading and getting closer to the end, I realized with the plans being made by the characters and the unanswered questions and unseen sights, that there would be another story coming to the series. I was guessing whose point of view it would be in. I tried to think of who would be unexpected or original, and I thought of Maria Lucas.

Then I reached the last chapter and saw your note, and thought it was great that it would be all the girls in the group plus Maria Lucas. I was even happier that there was a title, a very appropriate title, for the story already.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that you hadn’t started posting it yet even with the years that have past. I very much hope that it will be coming in the near future or at least that you are still working on it, and that the series is not something that will remain incomplete.

I’m sure this is the least important comment that one could make, but it makes me very happy that Miss York is a knitter and that you use all the correct terms like turn8ng a heel or grafting the toes. I always feel offended when authors mix up knitting and crocheting as though “women’s work” is not important enough to be well researched. Thank you.

Yes, I agree that this story was long, and an editor would've chopped it down considerably. I did enjoy it all, though, and I appreciate you sharing it. Now I'll have to look for "Coming Out."
