I'm re-reading all your stories even as our long quarantine is ending. Being older and of indifferent health, I have more down time than many, so I've taken to re-reading old friends. So often introductory chapters are a heavy-handed info dump to bring readers up-to-speed with the environment and backstory. While your first couple of chapters were, indeed, backstory, they were engaging backstory and dovetailed neatly into the timeline you had already established in 'Giving Consequence'. I remember this tale fondly, and am thoroughly enjoying an outsider's perspective of the well-known and illustrated Bennets. I just wanted to drop a little note of encouragement for your retrospective review pleasure.

Value of an estate can be approximated by remembering that a more or less guaranteed return of 4% could be achieved by the equivalent of a government bond. So an easy guesstimate is to take the annual income of an estate and multiply by 25. That is certainly not exact but does get you in the ballpark.

I Love this story verry mutch. I cant wait to read Coming Out. I will also like to read interims vignettes with short storys between this story and Coming Out, about the girls, the Darcys, the new gouvernesses etc ... It is juste a suggestion.

I've just been re-reading this and giving consequence. They are such fun stories! I hope you will eventually write coming out, because I would love to read it as well.

I'm surprised the horse theft was dealt with so lightly, given this was a crime that merited the death penalty at that time. I wonder if we'll see consequences next chapter, since the man was hustled away?

Quick pause in reading to say how much I'm enjoying this companion fic to the other one. Miss York is a delightful OC, and I say that about few OCs in fics. I do keep hoping for her to show a little flaw or two from time to time, however! Such perfection must be wearing to Kitty and Lydia's spirits.

I'm not sure why I've enjoyed these 2 stories so much, but I did - and I read them twice in a row!
Now I daydream little side stories like when they take Teddy to see Stone Landing and Sophia sees her home for the first time again...

I love this whole story line and hope you are still writing coming out. I long to know how are girls do in the ton as well as the men that will win their hearts. for some reason lydia's story I anticipate as being very interesting!
