Reviews for Miss York's Match |

![]() ![]() ![]() Wow again I must say how awful women were treated! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nicely set forth. I'm looking forward to the rest. |
![]() ![]() Oh wow, very interesting as this could so easily have been the life of Lizzy and Jane if their father died without making proper plans for them. I really hope that her mother can get some sort of work to contribute to the rent and also Grace when she is older as it is unfair for Sophia to have to support all three of them. Looking forward to more |
![]() ![]() ![]() Willoughby's the cousin!? I wasn't expecting that! (Though I shouldn't be surprised, should I?) I was kinda skimming this chapter, since it's a lot of set-up for the story (I presume) and we had a bit of an overview of it in Giving Consequence but I came to an abrupt halt when I saw his name. Now, I apologize if this has been asked before by someone else, but is your Lord Willoughby related to what's-his-name Willoughby who knows two young ladies in a similar circumstance named Eleanor and Marianne? And does Mrs. Haversham know a kid named Pip? |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a wonderful story. Thank you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wonderful start. The backstory is truly maddening, the way that women were nothing in that day and age and could just be thrown out with the garbage is as I said maddening. I am appalled that Society would accept a man who did this and ignore the plight of the women. |
![]() ![]() thank you. It will be interested to see Miss York's point of you and learn her history. I am looking forward to read more. Will we also heard and see more of her mother (before her death) and her little sister ? I wonder who was taking care of her after her motner's death while her elder sister was at work. |
![]() ![]() Hmm, I would have preferred to have some of the missing scenes from the other story instead, such as the Duke confronting Lord Matlock or confronting Lady Catherine. |
![]() ![]() So sad she was not protected by her father through his will and another WILLOUGHBY scoundrel. Looking forward to your story. |
![]() ![]() How sad for Sophia York to lose her father so suddenly and then to find out how mean and petty the heir to her father's estate is. Fascinating back story, to her credit, she sought work as a governess. In Jane Austen's time there weren't many choices for young women with her background. Thank you, I look forward to reading more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A good beginning. Looking forward to Miss York's HEA. And Lord W's ignominous end, presumably. |
