I‘m REALLY enjoying your smart!Vernon stories, but this one was also excellent. I just love sensible adults.

That was a good all rounder, with Lucius becoming involved early on and thus not becoming such an obnoxious person. Dumbledore beggars belief, with all his meddling. Just as well that Severus and Lucius, together with Sirius manage to hunt the horcruxes down.

I'm slowly making the rounds and rereading some of my favorite HP stories. :)

Although I tend to prefer my Snapes darker and more antihero -ish (and thus less saintly), I do enjoy tales where Petunia grows a backbone and Harry *and* Dudley both get a HEA. I've always wondered why Vernon and Petunia thought it was sooo normal to make their nephew sleep in the cupboard and let Dudley get as big as a house, when we all know they would've looked down on any neighbors who did the same thing, but I don't pretend to understand the tiny, sordid minds of child abusers. If only canon Petunia could've had the same epiphany about if Dudley turned out magical...

I can also only ever recall reading one other story where Snape is paired with Petunia, but it works for them! It's amusing that the goblin ceremonies are so routine that they are just shuffled through the lot of them like it is no big deal, giving them no real time to contemplate all the things that are happening until after it's all over.

"Wait, this means I'm actually married to Petunia?! And I'm now a father of TWO?!" XD

Another great story!

I really liked how this was mostly a family piece. I think it's the first I've seen where Severus marries Petunia. Surprisingly it worked really well with how their characters were written. Unfortunately, there were also several bits of confusion mostly due to unmarked time skips and scene changes. Other than that issue the story flowed well and was rather interesting.

I do hope Albus is bright enough to see the error of his manipulative ways!
