Honestly, I'm surprised a bit that Kagami allowed Sakura to neglect her physical and Chakra training that much. Considering how much it gave her trouble early on.

Also, if Sakura is not gonna be dieting like Kagami did early on, would that contribute a bit more to her growth potential?

I seriously thought they Izanagi was somehow future!Sasuke... Based on what happened, I'm pretty sure that was very wrong.
Does Sakura plan to go to Suna to meet with Gaara over the winter holidays?

The last show I watched is Made In Abyss. Needless to say, I'm screwed, even accounting for the fact that the Abyss is just a small part of the world.

I'm pretty sure that movies do exist in the Naruto world, (see movie 1) but I'm not sure about home DVD releases.

The scene you mentioned is a pretty good one. The problem with it is that once the whole thing blows over, everyone is pretending it basically never happened. There's absolutely zero progress on that front beyond a 'fade to married life' epilog, and a movie tie in.

You're 27 well I'm going on my 34th birthday, does that make me ancient? I understand your lack of interest in the Naruto universe and the weight of having to finish the story. As much as I would love to see where you're going with it, it shouldn't be in expanse of your well-being. Just know that what you've written so far is great and that anything you would write would make us readers thankful ;)
If my guess is right our heroes are going to try stopping the Massacre? I would love to hear from Sai though, it is sad to know that he is still rooted
