Reviews for Star Wars: The Force Wills
Tony McNucklz chapter 14 . 11/5
Pretty great space battle. I'm especially surious to see how you think it would affect current naval strategies as word spreads.

It's still weirds seeing a story actually stick to the impossibly tiny numbers of clones and ships that we saw in the show. They had a budget and time constraint, usually authors lean into the freedom a written story brings to move towards Legends in the engagement sizes. Even Episode 2's listing in canon of "200k units with a million more on the way" is clearly not a 1 unit1 clone system. It HAS to be that 1 unit equals 1 Battalion MINIMUM, otherwise there were fewer clones than even total soldiers in WW2, at over 120 million. The idea so many people walked away from that movie thinking there were 1.2 million clones made as of Attack of the Clones is patently absurd for galactic warfare. It isn't even enough for our little planet. Imagine trying to take a world like Jupiter if it was habitable and defended. not all planets are the same size after all. Planets like Mandalor must be massive, or how else would a single planet even with other settled worlds in it's domain possibly wage war that nearly toppled the Old Republic?

Basically, the numbers you're working with here really don't work well. 5 Venators? that's more like the fleet equivalent of a heavy squad. I guess you're sticking hard to the show canon though, which is still enjoyable, it's just the low numbers stand out to me sometimes.
Tony McNucklz chapter 12 . 11/5
The Blue Shadow Virus was one of those things that never made sense to me, even for Sith much less palpatine himself. It's too uncontrollable. As likely to cripple or kill the CIS as it is the Republic, which rather undermines The Plan. The spread could easily become uncontrollable and in fact undermine The Plan. It's too imprecise, even by Palpatine's megalamaniacal sensabilities. Bio warfare I'd get, but this thing is as likely to wipe out Palpatine's planned Empire as it is to help form it. Or maybe he gets his control, but instead of galactic control most of the galaxy is closed off to him and his limited little fiefdom to keep the virus out. Vindi dooping Dooku into thinking it would only target the Clones is a much more understandable interpretation of the premise of the episode. And she's right. In SIdiouses hands he'd be a menace, but he'd be a godsend in a lab when the Vong show up... with SEVERE oversight... on an asteroid... with a thruster on the asteroid that can punt him into the sun if he gets uppity...
Tony McNucklz chapter 11 . 11/5
Odd choice of academy to audit. I'd have expected something like Eriadu, Corellia, or another place known for their contributions to Galactic warfare. Corellia in particular I'd expect to have a hell of a naval academy and history with fleet warfare.
JJ chapter 106 . 11/2
Wow...
Tony McNucklz chapter 5 . 11/3
I think the reason the turret with a second person changed to a top mounted turret is that the droid can fire the second turret, meaning you don't need to waste two pilots in one fighter, effectively doubling the number of pilots and therefore ships the rebellion could field. And shouldn't the turret space actually give her plenty of room? if it's this small and constricting for her, how the hell are the much larger clones fighting into the same space?

Seems you're sticking to show canon, despite the humbers being clearly limited by the budget and time constraints of a tv show. What else explains the Malevolance running around without any other ships? worse, what else explains a ship that size only having 36 droid fighters to field?

Darn good chapter! Everyone playing their roles to perfection!
Monkey D. Conan chapter 106 . 11/2
The most impactful thing about all this is that in the end the emotions are so raw and true, it’s hard to remember who stands for what. For a moment you forget what side is fighting for slavery and simply focus on the individuals, instead of the cause they support. Excellent work as always! Can’t wait for more!
Penultimate12 chapter 106 . 11/2
I wonder how much Palpatine manipulated this chain of events because igniting an abolition revolution just as Anakin shows up in disguise and thus has to help the oppressive slave master caste put them down seems like his type of 4D chess maneuver.
Pjo crossovers chapter 106 . 11/2
So… I can’t tell if this is getting worse and worse. I think it is based one those last couple of sentences. But maybe Ashoka and anakin can turn this to their favor?
