Skyfish104 chapter 15 . 3/8/2018 I've been thinking why this doesn't get as much as much attention as the prequel. I realized that for me, this had Harry interacting too much with people and Lash's screentime got drastically reduced. One of the things I remembered most from the prequel was Harry taking the turtle approach when it came to social stuff. I kinda forgot if he gradually opened up to people, but from what I remember it was only him and Lash up to the end. The vibe the surrounding character seems to be friendly too, like too friendly. Like it rapidly transitioned from Harry and Lash against the wizarding world to regular HP fics with social Harry. Dunno if it's intentional or just your natural style bleeding in. |
doraemax chapter 15 . 3/8/2018 I am too lazy to reread the whole story to find out what happened to Hermione. It's such a long time ago...alas. :P |
doraemax chapter 14 . 3/8/2018 deep... a chapter with hidden abyss. |
doraemax chapter 13 . 3/8/2018 The animagus ritual...simple yet somehow very profound, compared to anything in canon. ps. Tracy is a hoot. hahaha |
doraemax chapter 12 . 3/8/2018 Hahahaha... And now you made me think on what would happened if Dresden-verse's Fallen met Winchester (either Dean or Sam) in Supernatural-verse... |
doraemax chapter 11 . 3/8/2018 Owh...he got time. i had thought the enchantments last until he solved the Bindings...making it one hell of a night. ahahaha |
doraemax chapter 10 . 3/8/2018 Waaaa... a fey...not just any fae, the Queen of Air and Darkness herself, at Hallow's Eve no less. And a task worthy to be in Sleeping Beauty, at that. My my...what a twist. Can't wait to read the next chapters. Hmm...will padfoot be caught in the wicked enchantments as well? Can Harry bestow a True Love kiss to break the spell? huhuhu |
Aegorm chapter 15 . 3/8/2018 Just a quick look with the Third Eye would reveal any curses right? The entire 'let's take it to Flitwick' scene was probably the worst you've written so far. It felt wooden and kinda forced. |
Akashic Vinyl chapter 15 . 3/8/2018 Hah when Harry eventually gets that joke he's going to turn bright red lol. |
Gremlin Jack chapter 15 . 3/7/2018 Huh. No Firebolt on the market? How did that get butterflied? |
Guest chapter 10 . 3/6/2018 Goddamn fairies. And the Dementors are apparently friggin' Outsiders. Which the Ministry employs. This is all kinds of messed up. ...Yep, this is the Dresden Files all right. |
syed chapter 14 . 3/3/2018 Why not ask the fat Friar? He has to know about how Christianity and wizardry interacted. I could see Harry learning how to summon ghost and question them. There has to be spells that affect them, even if they are questionable. I had this theory that Harry might be a descendant of Chad due to the binding of blood. But what if it is because he is descended from another bloodline. I always thought the fact Harry was a pervelle descendant, meant that he or another of the bloodline were meant to unite the hollows. In the story, the three brothers built a bridge. I believed it might have been real, possibly even something like the veil. What if Harry is needed because his bloodline has the ability to build unique bridges between realms? There is an implied link between king and the land. So a spell done in the King seat of power could affect the whole kingdom. The holy water could have had sea water, blood and mineral water for all three bindings. Since it was a binding on the fae, could the binding have been done in a fae King hall? I have to say a bad luck aspect to the reflecting shield is an awesome idea. It makes me want to suggest an idea that is just as cool. One idea while useful, is not that epic. Some wand wood, just enough to cast shield specific spells. It would help obscure his use of the unique shield foci. Also, channeled through his creation, might make the shield be more malleable, and can be shaped to suit specific needs, so various sizes and shapes. Another upgrade could be to allow the shield to disperse or concentrate what it redirects. If a bad guy sees all the spells being redirected, he would use alternate method like a wave of fire. To avoid people being forearmed concerning the shield, hide the foci. Something akin to a notice me not, or a mental effect that makes the enemy believe they simply missed, or Harry ducked or something. This could be backed by a illusion of a shield, that they would guess is impenetrable. There must be spells known to or designed to damage, break, Pierce or simply by pass shields. Harry needs to know how his shield deals with. I had a strange idea, the shield works best when the enemy has good aim, so better to redirect or return the spell. But in battle spells can go every where. What if Harry made it so when activated, it subconsciously made opponents aim at the shield, so better able to redirect the spells. It seems strange to encourage or aid the bad guys, but it just lets them better use their own energy against them. I remember how lash explained how runes were created, I wonder if the symbol of the deathly hollow has become one, and if so what does it do. I wonder if Tracy has heard the story. I could see Harry deeply inspecting his old cloak. Possibly researching the hollows. Unbinding the fae with be dangerous and difficult, but the hollows would be a great help. Are there any fae that crafted glass or ceramics? Since the potters were once craftsmen, I could see a bargin being made. Harry makes stuff, this is known, so why not hide his foci use, by picking up a hobby. Sirius bought Harry a firebolt, but that was after watching Harry fly in a match. Instead of a single huge purchase, I could see him buying a bunch of useful magical gear. Likely things that can be ordered with as little human interaction as possible. Luna might be a useful contact, she has to be aware of the more Estoic aspects of history and legends. Say a boggart is bound as a dementor, could it be used on horcrux? Sure it would never be the equal of a real dementor, but this is just a piece of soul. At the very least, it could weaken the protections on the containers for alternate methods to work in dealing with them permantly. |
Akashic Vinyl chapter 14 . 3/1/2018 I've never gotten the dark magic stigma in the HP universe honestly. You can cut someone head off with a cutting curse pretty easy. It always seemed super arbitrary what is and isn't dark. |
Slenderbrine chapter 13 . 2/23/2018 I see Sally-Anne having an Animagus form of some enormous and dangerous animal, like a dragon or a roc. Like, I’d find it numerous if this small and socially awkward girl had the capability to become an enormous death monster. Because lulz |
dnightshadow13 chapter 13 . 2/22/2018 I read silently watches and I was hopeful for your story. You blow my expectations away please continue to update. I really look forward to the next installment. |
