As someone who just read through Silently Watches fic to get to here, thank you very much for continuing this (even if the sentiment is a bit late). I loved the idea of Lash being put in Harry's head, loved their interactions and relationship development, and I'm really impressed with how well you followed through on that continuing the story!

As for this chapter itself, I most liked the Hippogriff scene, although I do feel like Harry should have been asking where this healing magic was back in the first part. Granted, the wound was relatively minor compared to a troll beating and everything done to him. Anyway, thanks for the chapter and happy New Year!

really enjoying this so far, just finished reading the preceding stories and went straight to it flowed nicely. but the eye thing, while true to dresden, contradicts a few bits of the previous stuff doesn't it. still cool either way, and if so an easy retcon, if not my bad. either way, like it.

I like it. A worthy continuation. The authors notes on the original indicated that she was having an issue with Harry finding connections to other students and you seem to have fixed that nicely. Tracy was out of left field but a welcome addition. And of course the ever awesome Luna. I wonder if she will be able to sense Lash? Other authors often make out to be some flavor of seer.

Another redirect from Silently Watches. I'm guessing you have a lot of knowledge about Wales, then?

Either way, I'm glad to see Harry and Lash making it up to one another, and alternate paths of magic getting a chance.

You know what this chapter made me see? Lash and Harry geeking all over those healing books. And I mean all over. I bet they'll have entire shelves full of notebooks about healing, what with how their lives have been going so far.

I am hoping lash helps to augement the animagus process. That would be very cool. It could be as simple as speeding up the process, or it could extend to multiple form. A flight form, a stealth/spying for a do something capable of doing some damage. A speedy one, a form suited to travel could be very useful. It would be epic if he could make foci his forms could use.

Magical damage and dark magic injuries are likely far more difficult to heal and tricky. I wonder if after exposure to some of the more advanced healing books, lash could create way to at least better manage and control the werewolf curse. I could totally see healing magics being able to damage a dementor.

In the books, lash was teaching Dresden the guitar. So she could encourage Harry to develop some bardic skills.

Harry seems to like animals, so even though he does not really get involved, I could see him supporting Hagrid.

I bet Luna as a friend leads to all kinds of Estoic lore.

Good chapter, nice to see what Dumbledore is thinking and how close to know he is. Will be interesting to see that development.

So Malfoy will try the same old scheme to get the hipoggriff killed? I really hope Harry can stop it.

Will be interesting to see what can Harry learn of healing, quite different a what Lash can know, lets see what can be adapted and learned.
