You know, there is a difference between the stereotypical anime obliviousness, and deliberate and willful ignorance. Even for someone as canonically stupid as Jaune, it’s simply not believable that he can’t understand the concept of racism against Faunus, or that he is incapable of understanding that Pyrrha is famous, or that he doesn’t know that the word “champion” means she’s really good at something people recognize her for. It always greatly bothered me that Jaune didn’t even know what aura was, that simply wouldn’t be possible no matter how little training he had. It would be like not knowing what exercise is. No matter how little of it you do, the word and concept can’t be avoided if you have ever interacted with anyone or anything in your life. So annoying.

Wow this is still going? I just happened upon this story again and I have to say I'm impressed, its always nice to take a trip down memory lane.

I wonder whether Jaune should have been spoken to by Ozpin as well in this one? Even just a short bit about him not putting himself in harms way with the jar—as a civilian under protection at least. Idk, it just felt like Ozpin addressing Jaune was missing something.

From how this story is going, it’s almost like you’re venting your poor customer service experiences into writing lol. The lady from this chapter hit my memories pretty hard, so you have my commiserations. Anyway, I’m loving the story so far, and you’re doing great work!

God, I hate asking this but any ideas when chapter 50 may come out?
