While the rape was revolting (as it always is), I get that it is a turning point for Helene. How she becomes used to darker magic, and spurns Dumbledore’s second chances mindset. It might have been better for her to let Severus kill Lockhart, if only for her own sake. It’s hard to read about crimes against children. I think we naturally rebel against it, even when we know these things happen.

I like that Helene is letting her Slytherin side come out to play. I think all romance is good, as long as it’s well written. That’s all that should matter. People are, after all, more than just their body parts. I love that you’ve written a long story we can sink our teeth into. Thanks!

Fleur’s father never returned Helene’s wand after she handed it over to him out of safety. Fleur teleported them away before he ever came into contact with Helene to do it.
