That quote comes to mind when I read this chapter. Ah, to be young and mildly affectionate... Shit I've only experienced about once for half a year.

It's a bit hard to describe why I like this chapter. On one hand, the writing and combat feels very real for Worm, and Greg is clearly inexperienced compared to his adversaries in a way I find believeable. On the other hand, I HATE how much he fucks around in fights... which is good on the author's part. It's in Greg's nature to play around and not take shit serious, which makes this very good character writing. Shit, I love this fic so much. One of my top 3 favorite fics at LEAST!

So, my guess is that Emma triggered and/or is feeling super guilty about how she was thinking about Greg (even if she was partially lying to herself). I vaguely recall a comment from the author earlier on about how he thought people like Emma could change, a few chapters after she was put into a coma, but it has been a very long time since I read that. Eighty-ish chapters since she was last in the story? Two years ago? Three?

Anyways, point is, given her gradual character development and the traumatic experience, there's probably more going on than her just being an ass. That could be part of it, since her character arc isn't complete, but there are definitely other factors. It could be trauma, maybe, her associating him with the accident? Perhaps memory loss given how he was tinkering with her body and mind to wake her up.

All that said, I just want to get some resolution to the whole Emma situation. Is she going to stay together with Greg? Is she going to break up with him? Are they going to go on break? Is she just going to avoid him until he forces the issue? I need something here.

This chaper seems to be about 11 chapters behind Spacebattles. I forgot that FF was falling so far behind. Anyway, thanks for the update.

I've been reading up to this point mostly just to see how the plot turns out, but this fight was way too fucking long. This was like 20,000 words of a fight that felt like it had no dramatic tension whatsoever. I skipped this whole chapter after realizing the entire thing was just a continuation of the Lung fight from last chapter.

As i said he should have crippled tiger dude, but because the mc is such a idiot he will continue to fail. Im not sure if i should be mad at the mc and say the author is doing it on purpose, or get mad at the author for writing such a bad character

Should have ripped his arms off instead of just breaking them. Make sure his punishemnt is permanent. Its the least you could do for the dead kids.

Somthing that urks me about this novel is that no matter how strong he is, the author always makes sure he is getting his ass handeded to him. Its like stop being such a yssup and just cut wind tiger dudes head off and kill the other two. Then ask the lask chick where the kids are .

Is this fucking story ever gonna stop wheelspinning on the Emma storyline? It is so fucking annoying.

Does…Does Greg not actually not know what Emma did to Taylor? Or is this more like a teenager dates a bad person because they’re hot for them, and ignores their flaws. Like a cheerleader dating the school bully.
