Reviews for The Last King
Godspeed2000 chapter 21 . 5/14
I have been thinking... Percy comes from a modern world. He could have thrown Westeros into technological overdrive.
Godspeed2000 chapter 13 . 5/13
I'm sorry, but the Percy I know would never be so cold and such a disgusting human being to ANYONE who is even remotely related to him. This is not Percy Jackson at all!
Stormzy chapter 8 . 5/11
Giving this a reread. Obviously a great work with great writing but agree with a few reviewers I've seen who call out Cersei and Robert's characterisation. You kind of demonise Robert who wasn't that bad of a person considering Westeros standards and only didn't talk to his kids because they were technically a bunch of Lannister pussies without any of his traits (unlike Tytan). Main thing however is your depiction of Cersei as a better person. She is literal scum. I get adding an OC (Tytan) changes the plot and characters but I don't see his addition tempering Cersei who is clearly and example of nature over nurture, cruel and evil is the only words I can use to describe her.
Nicedoente chapter 21 . 5/2
You had 5 CENTURIES of experience, by that point your pull-out game should be spectacular.
Guest chapter 34 . 4/21
This was a good story
Lot1t chapter 7 . 4/4
It's a strange chapter, no one would do anything to a lord because of a couple of peasants. The maximum that threatened Bolton was a fine. Getting engaged to Joffrey is far-fetched, it would have been more logical to marry Myrcella to Robb. The author is trying to stretch the canon onto a globe, rather than show imagination and come up with something original.
Teo Char chapter 2 . 4/3
Whenever there is a fanfic on the Lannister side we have a story where Cersei is presented in the best possible way and Robert in the worst.
I will not kill this. Robert had many flaws, but he was not cruel. He was also much smarter than people think. But he was a warrior, a general and a conqueror. Not a politician. He was very honest in his feelings and simple. He got angry easily, but he also forgave and laughed easily. He appreciated honesty. He also easily relieved people of their feelings. He had love for his bastards, they never cried in his hands. His first daughter Mya was his favorite and if it were not for Cersei he would have brought her to court.
Cersei on the other hand was a jealous monster. She killed her friend when she was a child because she was in love with Jaime. She was not a good mother. She only cared about Joffrey, because she saw him as the male equivalent of herself. She was blind to his acts of cruelty, not only to strangers, but to his siblings as well. She was not interested in the other children. Even Myrcella does not cry when she leaves King's Landing because she does not feel much for her mother. And her mother is angry not because she cares about Mycelia but because she considers them her property. And after Joffrey's death she sees disappointment in Tommen.

Hungry Hermit chapter 14 . 12/7/2024
Damn, this is getting hot. I want to apologize for my outburst in the earlier chapter. I thought Percy became useless but in reality, he is just taking some vacation until it's his term to rule.
Hungry Hermit chapter 8 . 12/7/2024
Useless, nothing changes and Percy is futile even with those experiences he has. He is a modern demigod, not some savage like Hercules.
ImprperPseudonym chapter 4 . 12/1/2024
So far (as of chapter 4) very good, with a really cool premise; however I don't think the start of chapterrecaps are necessary, and I generally dislike long author's notes at the bottom of every chapter. Regardless, this seems like a promising read. I've noticed very few typos and the grammar is generally fine.
