an Air Force of war ballons that drop explosives from well out of arrow or ballistae range could be great. as well there could be transport ballons and paratroopers who drop behind or onto city walls with parashoots in order to take a city gate and open it for an army.

also its possible to make wooden submarines with westeros level of technology which can submerge 5-10 meters and have a ballistae or sharp ram mounted for sinkiny ships at dock.

its also possible to implement watch towers and morse code flicking lights (you have a fire on top with light enhanced with a mirror and pull a lever to cover and uncover the light to make a flicker in morse code to the next watchtower.

they could transmit each way and send messages across the north nearly instantly. it could be done cheaply if using hills and mountains only and ravens to cross flat land that would require too many watchtowers.

it would be useful for trade offers, postal messages, logistics, news, weather, bureaucracy and military communications
