hobbit mother chapter 10 . 2/19/2018
Frodo! You naughty hobbit, stealing Gandalf's fire works. Time for a spanking!
Frodo's sister chapter 12 . 5/3/2017
Well written and very nice. I'm glad that the elves had fun at the hobbiton fair.
Kalisona chapter 12 . 3/15/2007
What a great story! *grins* You used my name! *hugs little Kali* Wow, it was an effortless mix of Angst and Humor and...well...Just everything! I loved how you portray the elves; I thought it was dot on. I also loved the party, and how you had a background story for the firework which was completely believable. It was an enjoyable read all the way through! Thanks for writing this!

duj chapter 12 . 1/24/2005
Quiet pleasant doings in peacetime.
ren chapter 12 . 6/8/2003
This is so cool. I enjoyed this. Elladan singing, the pillow-fight, travelling through the Shire...very lovely!

yes! sequel!sequel!
Kitty2228 chapter 12 . 5/29/2003
That was wonderful. Celeborn gets to go home to his family, the twins have a purpose again, and Glorfindel gets to move forward. Glorfindel was so adorable when he was talking to Goldilocks about her hair. Then again when talking of his plans to go to Gondor. I can't wait for you to write a sequal to this to see how everything plays out!
TrinityC chapter 12 . 5/13/2003
Oh. . .wow. What a fantastic way to end this - and what a wonderful solution to the Twins' dilemma! I must admit, I've been wondering since the beginning of this story what they were going to do, and I honestly can't think of a better plan! Am very muchly looking forward to a sequel now, telling all about it. . .and Glorfindel's trip to Gondor, too (bless! Sleepy Glorfindel!); mortal children are indeed very mortal. . .

And congratulations on a lovely story, beautifully told and well-thought out - it's been one of the highlights of my day, getting updates for this, and I'll miss it. So I'm hoping for a sequel soon!
Hellga chapter 12 . 5/13/2003
Very nice story, sweet and beautiful. I liked it :)
shirebound chapter 12 . 5/13/2003
Such a lovely story!

"Perhaps there are those among men and hobbits and even dwarves who might have a use for a place where they can meet and learn each others stories."

Oh, Imladris is available... can we all meet there sometime and share our stories? What a lovely idea. I enjoyed this fic immensely, and look forward to whatever you come up with next.
shirebound chapter 11 . 5/13/2003
What a delightful yet intense experience between hobbits and Elves! You truly give us such an insight into the immortal-yet-compassionate heart of an Elf. And what a wonderful way to show us how "the decision" was made that you wrote about at the very beginning of the story.

"But there was no way he was going to accept that this little one's time had come. Theo Brandybuck, whose heart was filled with nothing but love and joy and mischief, was not going to die over something so stupid."

And suddenly he missed them terribly. His own family; Galadriel and Celebrian. Tears welled in his eyes, where they were spotted by Diamond.
shirebound chapter 10 . 5/13/2003
All these chapters at once to read, and then "The End"! This story's been fascinating. My favorite bit of chapter 10 is...

"Once it was set off, it was gone forever. If they left it as it was, it would be as if there would always be a little bit of the wizard's magic remaining." Sigh!
TrinityC chapter 11 . 5/13/2003
Hurray for new chapters! And *gulp* for the drama. . .and a big cheer for Celeborn and Glorfindel (now I hope *he's* all right). . .and hugs all round. I'm glad that Celeborn has made a decision at last. And I loved the passage about Glorfindel's understanding of the Gift of Men. I suppose he couldn't help but become attached to at least some of the mortals he has encountered over his long life, especially the Hobbits; they really are very easy to love.

Anyway. Looking forward to more, as always!
TrinityC chapter 10 . 5/13/2003
eep! Poor Theo! I hope he's all right. . .

Am muchly amused at Elladan's little mishap - and as for Glorfindel and Celeborn's disagreement, well. . .looking forward to seeing how those dignified Elf-lords sort that one out!

I really love this story - and am looking forward to finding out how it ends (although I don't want it actually to end, I'm loving it so much. Hmm. This could be a problem!). . .
TrinityC chapter 9 . 5/7/2003
*gulp* Frodo! very lovely to see him. . .would be very interested to see whether the firework might have some significance later on - and I loved the glimpse of a young Sam! And Sam and Pip's reactions when Rosie notices how well Goldie and Faramir are getting along. . .and I should also be very interested to find out about Legolas at Pip's coming of age party! *grin* Looking forward to more!
Aratlithiel1 chapter 9 . 5/6/2003
I'm so glad you included Frodo in your tale and listed him as Char. 1 or I might have missed it altogether. (I usually only search for Frodo stories.)

What a delightful story! You seem to have a very "hobbity" perspective and elf-angst is a new one on me. Can't wait to see where you go with this.
