Is the whole Luffy, Zoro, and Robin going into a cave and ending up in a new world thing supposed to be a reference to "Strawhat Vampire"?

If not for Law being there, I'd think the letter would be more than enough for them to go to the mentioned island at Robin's request without the weather driving them there. I'm really worried about the implications of the poneglyphs being related to the pokemon world. If not for the humor tag, I'd be worried about grimdark themes due to the void century.

The letter being directly addressed to the Straw Hats was really odd but I suppose it will be revealed later on how they managed that.

So far I'm interested in the concept but since we haven't seen the pokemon world yet I can't really say if I like it yet.

As to the typical hitting trope, why the heck did they call BS on the items when the pokemon he said gave it to him is literally the only source of new things on the ship? o_O

This story also has a interesting plot as well.

It would be interesting just not only those mentioned because it would be more fun to have everyone past Punk Island into the Pokemon world as definitely their colorful personalities will make both people and Pokemon just go wtf on everything, especially if using the Anime/Manga world.
