![]() ![]() ![]() why must you mak these stories and not finish them |
![]() ![]() ![]() Damn. What a spot to binge read too. 2am, starving, tired but happy with the story. Shame it’s been abandoned by the looks. |
![]() ![]() ![]() love this story, even if its dead I'm always happy to read what made the cut. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Best. ME story. Ever. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Groovy |
![]() ![]() ![]() A very humorous and interesting story that got me hooked from the start! But also the last 20% of this chapter are a convoluted mess that I had trouble just reading. Nevermind understanding. It's been over two months, but maybe you'll update again sometime... |
![]() ![]() ![]() I discovered this fic yesterday. I finished devouring this fic now. I want more. No, I need more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is awesome! I can't wait for more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Getting weirder, I see. I liked the chapter, but maybe tone down that part a bit anyway. It works well here, but every chapter being like this would get annoying pretty fast. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow you just went off huh. Consistency is a nice thing in a story and this just fic has jumped the tracks. It ain’t a story anymore, it’s manic rambling for ramblings sake. You having a breakdown or something? |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's a shame you have no plans to continue this. I hope I'll enjoy Harry Potter and the Deus Ex Machina as much when I start reading it, but this is really something. Normally, having a character curb-stomp knowledge-wise and skill-wise tends to make for a boring story, but not only did you understand that the key is to use that as a CONTEXT for generating interest in other ways, you managed a style that I almost never seen attempted (let alone achieved) even in professionally published fiction. On the "context" side, the unpredictability that keeps the story interesting isn't found in "will Shepard win?" or "how hard will it be for Shepard to win?" or "how will Shepard win?" but, rather, "Good gracious. What creatively novel thing is the author gonna come up with for him to do next, and how much fun will we have reacting to it or watching others react to it?" On the style side, the amount of thought you've put into the mechanics and philosophical bent of what Shepard is doing and saying is just so rare. (For example, it's far too rare to see a character is is not only highly intelligent, but demonstrates that on an ongoing basis through what they say and do rather than the author just asking readers to take their word for it.) On the fanfiction side of things, I've read gigabytes of fanfiction over the last two decades and I'm not sure I've ever seen such a beautiful expression of this kind of story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously, the ending line would have been better of with "The Sky was Dark and Full of Terrors" |
![]() ![]() ![]() While I find the stuff on the Biotics way too close to magic, and frankly way out of character for Shepard, I *Love* all the stuff with him posing as a 10 year old prodigy. It was hilarious really to read with the Alliance marines trying (and failing) to adjust to Shepard's lethal competence, intelligence, and the theories which sprung up. You also do an excellent job of world building |
![]() ![]() ![]() I recently discovered this fic and mostly enjoyed it, though Shepard's rambling is honestly annoying throughout. Then I got to this chapter and you spun off into a trippy nonsense world, and completely lost me. Seriously, this was in zero ways entertaining. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. Just...wow. I've seen some massive miscomprehensions of science history, but Shepard's rantings truly take the cake-that-is-a-lie. Right up there with the urban myths of Tesla's square-cube-law-violating wireless electricity transmission. |
