Excellent story! This is really well done and I'm enjoying reading it. You've done a fantastic job on plot, characterization and pacing. Love all the attention to detail and the all the world building you did in order to make this story work. You've definitely come up with something other than the normal wrong boy who lived story. I really appreciate that. It's nice to be able to jump into a story and forget about the rest of the world around you. Great job! Can't wait to see what's next! (Don't worry; I won't hold my breath ;-)

Thanks for this. This story has been one of my absolute favorites since finding it. When first reading it, it reminded me of The Crimson Lord's story that will probably never be finished. But instead of the Knight brought forth from his emotions, you have given him, through trauma, the same thing. The ability to turn ones emotions off when in a fight is essential. So, the Charon is born, the Ferryman who will come for you, through wards, through bodyguards, through secured rooms in government buildings, nothing stops the Ferryman coming for your soul. Now armed with the Deathstick, its kind of cool, to have the Ferryman wielding the instrument of his profession. There is a quote from a very good movie starring Denzel Washington that I feel applies, "A man can be an artist, in food, whatever, it depends on how good he is, at it. Ares' art is death...he's about to paint his masterpiece." Thanks for the brilliant storytelling and no matter what your naysayers have said, Keep the Faith, man. There are those of us who appreciate it.

I gotta say though, I feel kind of bad for Lily and James. Albus was extremely convincing, they didn't hate their son, they wanted to protect him. But they should have been more responsible, and they never should have left Harry with the Dursleys.

Sorry but it doesn't work.
You can try to create any fake excuse you want for your characters, but the Potter abandonning their child into an abusive household and not checking up on him immediately make them unlikable.
I don't know why so many authors are so hellbend on writting stories where the Potter leave Harry with the Dursley without bashing them but it simply not possible.

Oh, so original. "Ares", "Nightshade", Impressing the Golems by doing nothing, Harry going from scared and meek to calm and confident because of the blood adoption, OP blood adoption that turns Harry into Merlin. You really just collected all the crappy cliches you could and threw them in there.

Oh... well, you really are good at making things seem really positive at first and then making it really dreary near the end of a chapter eh, LF74? Welp, I'm not complaining that you've lost your passion in writing this "One of the best" HP fics that I've read - just disappointed that I or we won't be able to see much more of this story. I'm not saying you have to stretch the story as much as you can, but hopefully, you would at least give this wonderful story of yours a "proper" ending :

It would also be nice if you could show us a glimpse of what happened with his ancestors as well (the paintings), maybe even a few conversations as Harry would eventually have to power up against Voldemort's ever-growing villain comeback power. I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly started summoning demons into this world lmao.

Honestly, I would consider this story of yours near the top 3 of my list. The character development of Harry, quite realistic interactions with the other characters as they try to reconnect (Fleur, Tonks, Sirius) and many others. This fic not being my #1 is just being held by the fact that Harry's too much of an "Edgelord" as of the moment, by that I mean he has yet to try and understand his parents as to why - which is understandable of course given what happened to his life but yeah.

Nevertheless, Thanks for bringing this Fic unto the public for us to enjoy!

Honestly, the thing with Fleur got me giggling x) Hope she becomes his wife! They're just too "perfect" for each other not to ;)

And to Harry, I'm glad he realized it early! Hopefully, this makes most of his hubris go away! As I've said before, it's going to be his downfall if he hadn't!
