I cannot Believe how I had never considered that without Itachi defecting, Orochimaru would still be a part of the Akatsuki, despite it being so Obvious! Damn, the genjustsu had me, too. I honestly thought seeing Shino die would awaken her Mangekyo and she'd use up one eye to save him with izanagi. Anyway, since the whole thing was fake does that mean that Orochimaru DOESN'T care about her? No interest whatsoever? At what point was she placed under a genjustsu?
Using the scrolls to summon a proctor was smart but DAMN how is she gonna survive them finding out about her knowledge? Having said that, it's probably going to fuck her over but I appreciate her willingness to throw caution to the wind for her team. She's a fun character and I like her a lot. And she's cute with Shino

Oh man, a part of me wants Orochimaru to succeed in kidnapping her. Just the thought of them advancing science by leaps and bounds excites me lol. They don’t particularly see eye to eye, many scientists can be the same way, but just imagine! Scientific revolution!
