And the lies of Dark Lord Dumbledore begin to be exposed...

Ah now here's a part I remember! I forgot all about Luna's grandmum giving them a task and them robbing to complete it. I forgot about them leaving Hogwarts.
But I did remember the vagrants in the abandoned tunnel being attacked by a Lovecraftian horror.
Odd how memory works, isn't it?

Yeah, this chapter really makes it look like Dumbledore was a dark lord and that effing wand drove him around the bend. I bet Dumbledore, high on defeating Grindlewald, thought he was wise and powerful enough to "avoid temptation" at the wand's whispered poisoned promises but he still fell to it.

In his own way, Dumbledore could qualify as a Dark Lord and none other than the Dark Lord of the prophesy.
With how manipulative and controlling he is, I would not be surprised of James & Lily had defied him a few times.
And allowing the Boy-Who-Lived tripe to flourish could be seen as marking him as an equal.
Harry may be alive, but he is certainly not allowed to live (his own life) as long as Dumbledore is around. And Dumbledore is so focused on Harry, Voldie, & the prophesy, he's not living his own life. So that covers the "neither can live while the other survives".

I stand corrected, I have read this, I've found 2 reviews I made back in 2018.
However, I don't remember this beginning, the falling out with Ron or the murders of DEs and certainly don't remember Luna being half-fae. And I'm still not convinced it's the story I have vague memories of. Oh well this means I still read this as if it's a new story! LOL

I came across this story a few years ago (though have vague memories) and thought it was done, but I see last upload/update was June 5 of this year. Well now I MUST reread it!

First time writing horror genre, and you offer apologies if it doesn't live up to expectations? I'm in my 50s, I grew up on horror: movies, TV & books and I have to say the Horror genre is quite versatile. From monsters to sci-fi to suspense to slasher, Horror genre covers a lot of ground, so no need for apologies.

On OOC- That's the thing about fan-fiction, OOCs abound! One could say it's part of the craft of fan-fiction. And that's a mixed bag, sometimes good, sometimes bad, rarely really, really bad (thinking of a certain infamous fanfic (I refuse to name because I want it dead) that should burn. Extreme OOC could be fun if well written (that fic was NOT well-written) and tagged for OOC in some way. You've given warning so that's covered.

I stand corrected, this is not the story I thougth I read. I've not read this story at all.
