As both a coward, a thief, and a predator by nature, I’d expect Riddle to have a different sleep cycle compared to normal people and be more active at night when most people are less active. And that’s if the homunculus body he’s made for himself even requires sleep in the first place. Seems to be a obvious weakness and he claimed to have none.

Furthermore, even if house elves can get past defensive wards, I don’t see why Riddle wouldn’t have any offensive ones targeting anyone without a dark mark. Barty junior was able to ward against everything including house elves while resurrecting Riddle, so it shouldn’t be difficult for Riddle to blanket ward out everything.

It just seems weird that Riddle who is claimed a coward and a thief hasn’t taken any meaningful precautions and as a terrible dark lord has left himself such obvious and mundane weaknesses.

Was kinda hoping Harry would find a magical ring with some character in the family vault or make one himself instead of the generic muggle diamond ring.

I like Slughorn's plan much better than Dumbledore's.
