As a person who doesn't have English as my first language, I enjoyed your writing immensely, like learning new words, the general fliw, the characters and development, and the little gems of brilliant humor every now and then that made me laugh.

I must say, though, that, in my opinion, Jacob got away too easy. I can't recall reading that Jacob ever even apologized to Bella for the assault, and Bella was a little bit too lenient with what happened to her both times, making excuses and taking the blame. It was a bit depressing to read how she was punished for wanting to be a normal human being, but I'm very glad that you wrote about revoking consent as a real thing because it is.

Actually, I'm going to be "that" person and spell it out because I don't think that it can be stressed enough: girls and women who happen to read this and don't know it already: you are entitled to revoke your consent at any time and under any circumstances. Your body, your choice. Everything that happens after a verbal or physically demonstrated "no" is a sexual assault. Men aren't "slaves under their passions" and are perfectly capable of stopping, unless they've been conditioned to believe that they can't, or that they're entitled to use you for your own pleasure. That is never ok. Please report or, at the very least, be kind to yourself and put blame where it belongs. Not on you.

wow, I didn't expect the toryvictoria revelation. I had a suspicious feeling about tory the first time she appeared, but for some reason I didn't make the obvious connection, and afterwards I forgot the suspicion entirely. Well done.
