ObsessedwReading chapter 1 . 8/30 This is awesome! I'd love it if you decided to continue writing 1 shots for the remainder of the twins years in hogwarts with seeing things on the map. |
csheila chapter 1 . 7/12 Loved it Dumbles believed Harry had to die. Why he hid the information |
PeaceablePenguinElf chapter 1 . 3/24 I love this story! Thank you for writing it. An excellent mix of kid curiosity and unconscious genius. Love the twins and how you put this together. |
blonde.salute chapter 1 . 7/15/2023 I really enjoyed this one-shot (I love the twins). Can you write about the chamber of secrets/tom riddle/Ginny situation the next year? I feel it would be hilarious |
EdTheBeast chapter 1 . 2/13/2023 Love the story, know JK did not use the plot for the simple reason, the first year would be done then, before Halloween. |
Latarra chapter 1 . 2/1/2023 I like it. |
TheFanFictionReviewer-Ursalias chapter 1 . 12/15/2022 Another superbly done one shot. Well done! Interesting concept, well thought through consequences. You have a real talent. Thank you for all the joy I've felt reading your many writings. |
keht.jelicho chapter 1 . 9/16/2022 Would the tournament happen as in canon? My understanding of events was that Wormtail escaped and found Voldemort, helped him gain the homunculus body, they came across Bertha Jorkins (or whatever her name was), the missing Ministry worker mentioned in that book from whom's memories Voldemort was able to discover the existence of Crouch Jr. though in the process killing the woman. So without Wormtail to assist him, Riddle wouldn't have had the needed assistance to have even the homonculus body (and didn't wormtail have the dark lord's wand, the spirit/wraith certainly couldn't use it or carry it), likely wouldn't have been able to do anything to the woman (assuming it wasn't Wormtail who even was the one to bring her to Riddle in the first place), Wormtail was the one to smuggle Riddle back to Britain, and possibly the one to help arrange for Crouch Jr. to escape (not sure if it is mentioned in canon how that happened/what role Wormtail/Voldemort had in it). Sure Crouch Jr. may possibly still have escaped at somepoint, but likely would have taken longer causing Riddle to miss learning of the Triwizard from Bertha and even if not: if it was only Crouch Jr. then wouldn't Crouch have had to be the one to stay with and feed/take care of the Homunculus-Riddle like Wormtail did in canon? Basically I am just saying that I believe you're severely underestimating how Wormtail's capture would stymie future events from canon from occurring (not to mention that if the twins were keeping such a close eye they'd probably reveal Crouch Jr. as Moody before he could even enter Harry so it really would just be a TRI-Wizard tournament). Though (leaving aside if Lucius would still pass on the diary if he thought the dark lord may still be around, though with T. M. Riddle stamped on the book and all that, well who knows how that would all change) if enough of book two plot happens the Twins might get Another Award for Special Services/Order of Merlins for revealing the Chamber of Secrets/leading to the slaying of the Basilisk (roosters anyone?), plus even more money from its sale. |
Nebresh chapter 1 . 3/28/2022 very good one! |
oh-wellau chapter 1 . 2/15/2022 This was really great! I think part of the changes would be Fred and George becoming animagi, as part of their apprenticeship (I like to imagine a pair of weasels sneaking around moonlit corridors at Hogwarts) |
ginnythebaddestbiatch chapter 1 . 11/13/2021 THIS IS AMAZINNGGG. I love how you solve big problems with just one simple occurrence. Harry got Sirius and Remus back, Pettigrew rotting in Azkaban, no big trauma for Ginny during the Chamber chaos, no Crouch Jr randomly throwing the imperious curse to 4th year students, and Sirius didn't die. Not sure what will happen in the last 2 years. Hermione wouldn't be friends with them you say? I think they would be at some point during their Hogwarts years, but not to the point of being buddies. I like Hermione, honestly, but I really think that she could be overwhelming. The number of times she had ordered Harry to practically tell everything to her, no matter how personal it would be, the amount of times she would downplay both Ron and Harry's intelligence. I honestly think that without her in the picture, Harry and Ron would be forced to study real hard and try to keep up on learning spells. I just really hope that somewhere along this years, they would do something about Snape's behavior. He's a great potioneer, and occlumens, but never a great teacher, especially with young kids like that. They are continuously bullied and humiliated in his class. He was never fair to anyone, and only will be if he could get something from it. And this lack of fairness does not only apply to him, mostly Hogwarts professors especially Dumbledore engraves into the students mind that Slytherin are nothing but evil people. Imagine being a teeny 11 years old, excited for what Hogwarts would bring, only to be sorted in Slytherin and be mocked and be the target of the other housed. No wonder why many Slytherin graduates becomes dark after Hogwarts. |
SomeGuyFawkes chapter 1 . 11/13/2021 Fine story-let and closer to how canon really should have gone. But we all know that The Map (and time turners) didn't even exist until the twin's 5th year, when Rowling invented them to make her "plot" easier. |
Stormshadow13 chapter 1 . 9/11/2021 Love the twins. |
guest chapter 1 . 8/11/2021 Wonderful exploration of a point that really bothered me about canon. I don't much care for the Weasley twins: their "pranks" hardly differed from the Marotters' (sobriquet from Alethea27) except for (as far as I know) not causing severe injury and being sprayed over many more students rather than heavily concentrated on one. However, this fic beautifully showcased the snooping, er, curiosity so very IC for them. As you wrote it, it's not precisely a butterfly effect, though, more like a 747. Thanks! |
Cassandra30 chapter 1 . 4/20/2021 Entertaining! |
