Reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |

![]() ![]() As a fellow left-hander, I approve of sticking with cannon and making Link left-handed. It's a big reason why I like Link. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well this was wonderful. I wish I had the brain capacity for more words, but just know that it now 3am and I have to be awake at 6am and I really shouldn't have stayed up this late reading, but I could not stop and that complete mess of a run-on sentence may very well express the positive feelings I have towards this fic. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I wasn't expecting much, if I'm entirely honest, with this story. After all, a retelling of a story I know so well can only do so much. But time and time again on this site I'm proven wrong, and this story has far exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic read. |
![]() ![]() I wanted to post a review a long time ago, but I wasn't able to screw up enough courage to do it until now. I know this is probably really late, but I have to say it. This novelization is amazing. You did an incredible job pulling the story from the game and making it into something that someone will read five or six times and still want to read it again. The dialogue, the narration, the emotions, the characterization...I could honestly go on for hours! (I have actually. My brother can attest to that) I think my favorite thing about this book is Link's character growth...the contrast between him in the beginning and the end is crazy! Thank you for writing such an incredible book! God bless |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just re-read this and I've gotta say it really holds up still. You're different use of view point, the inner emotions, the imperfect characters, the way you gave minor characters a compelling backstory, and just the way you built up link and zeldas character, it really makes this fic feel real. You're a very gifted writer and you gave us great. Thank you |
![]() ![]() ![]() Can you do for for other games like the wind Waker? |
![]() ![]() ![]() This has been such an amazing book and journey. I've read my way through it in about a week and was so satisfied with the ending. You really managed establish a connection between the reader and the characters. I've absoltely loved it :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is such a fantastic take on Breath of the wild, fully deserving of all the praise its been given. Link’s growth; the slow, steady trickle of his memories; his own personality changing with his memories; the streamlining of BotW’s story into a cohesive narrative. The additional characters or re-purposed ones are grateful additions, as are the changes to locations to seem fuller than they were on-game. I love how Ganon is depicted over some other stories: he’s very little more than hate and you capture what little mind is left beautifully. Not sure if your sequel is still happening, but I do wonder about the loose threads you’ve left for us to ponder. From Yiga to Link and Zelda’s story. 10/10, fantastic novelization! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This reminds me of Fi from Skyward Sword. Precious memories. Nice reconciliation between Link and Zelda. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The Lost Forest, such a horrifying place. And those hallucinations. Still at least he remembers his family. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very deep this was. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Poor Paya. Reminds me much of Mipha's feelings. : ' ( |
![]() ![]() ![]() Terrifying chapter. Beautiful moment with the memories, though, and speaking with Zelda. |
![]() ![]() ![]() That memory was terrifyingly compelling. Great action scenes here. ; ) |
