The issue that masks the answer is, as is often the case: egocentrism: you put too much importance to yourself.
"Senseless" evil is just like regular evil, the only difference is that you, the direct victim, isn't the target of the "lesson", but rather the people around you get to experience it and hopefully benefit from the experience, even if second-hand.
In more practical therms: the point of a bank robber that shots, and kills, the resistant clerk isn't to "teach" that particular clerk anything, but rather to get the people around, either random bank clients, cops or other clerks, to become more "co-operative"...
Even evil events that at first sight have no one to witness them such as for example the annihilation of a whole civilisation will, eventually, serve as a lesson for some anthropologist in the far future.

I don't know what it is about your writing, but it always draws me in only to somehow, someway, turn unbelievably cringe-inducing. It always feels like you have the beginnings of your stories thought out, but after a few chapters, everything always seems to get muddied and or laughably stupid.

The base level of writing is still there, but almost everything character-wise is just so unbelievable that I can't keep reading it. I really don't understand it. You almost perfectly set up a well-thought-out concept only for it to fall to pieces due to the main character. It feels as if you have to exaggerate his character so much to fit the "dark stuff" aspect of the story that he feels like a B-list villain with not motivations for his character anymore. Pretty on in your stories, all of the tension is killed for me. Following soon after, I start to disassociate with all of the characters involved because I can't bring myself to care about them anymore.

It was interesting to see your more "dark" writing the first time I read it, but as a whole, it just can't keep me interested. There are only so many times I can see something horrible happen before I get desensitized to it and have to seek out something new, whether it be something within the plot/story, action, magic, drama, characters, etc. One of your stories (The Dxd/elder scrolls one) had this with the character interactions happening within it (not including the MC), but it went completely off the deep end believability-wise.

I feel like the story would really be helped if the motivations actually made sense and or were actually there in the first place. By forcing the darker themes, I can't bring myself to care about any of the side characters or empathize with the MC at all. I've seen other stories still have these central themes/tones, but introduce them slowly over time to an actual appreciatable effect for the story itself. Yours tend to be...quick shots? I guess with worst of the worst the story will drop to, bringing back the almost nonexistent tension I mentioned before, being hit in either the first chapter or following ones.
