![]() ![]() ![]() Hm, I find it funny that not many people know Dr. McKay’s back story. This is a direct quote from Dr. McKay “I had a not-so-comfortable childhood. My parents hated each other, blamed me. Music…was my salvation. It had this…perfect order for me”. It’s worth mentioning that music was his original dream in life, but he gave it up because at the age of 12, his music teacher asked him to quit because in their opinion he had no sense of the art. He also sought a career in science. This unfortunately took a dark turn as well at his 6th grade science fair. He made a non-functional nuke. This prompted a visit from the CIA in which he was most likely interrogated for hours if not days. After this, he was shunned and seen as the disappointment at least in his own eyes. Its part of why he has little contact with his parents, because he feels that his parents abandoned him. It’s also why he acts so rude, he trusts no one and expects to be betrayed on some level. The reason for his ego is because in his own mind, he needs a reason to justify his own continued existence, at least on a subconscious level. |

![]() ![]() ![]() What a great story, I really enjoy the reimagining of the Taur'i history and creating the alliance it's a part of. I've enjoyed the depth that you put into the story with the slow build to contact between the Colonials and Taur'i. I'm sad to see that this story has gone in hiatus, but it has been an enjoyable read |
![]() ![]() ![]() here I was thinking when the bio cylons saw Daniel they say 7? |
![]() ![]() ![]() you know the measurement s of the stargate ring can fit a M1 main battle tank |
![]() ![]() Just found this story and it is a great read. Thanks for writing it and hope you continue |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story, I hope that it's updated again someday. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you are still writing on the story. I don't believe I've seen a BSG2003/SSG1 cross over were the colonials had some idea what was outside their corner of the galaxy before first contact. Looking forward to what Olympus is hiding. Also looking to the blowback D'Anna will face when the rebels learn she gave the evil cylons technical data on the Galactica's upgades. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved the Demolition Man reference! |
![]() ![]() ![]() anymore coming. just finished rereading |
![]() ![]() nice work though i really think it would be for the best that that the stargate and related content/tech is publicly disclosed to the world its about time they do it they cant keep it hidden forever it just makes things worse for them the longer its kept hidden |
