| Mereel401 chapter 1 . 7/25/2018 An intriguing start for your new tale. If I may be so bold as to throw my speculations in the room. The easiest thing is, that apparently whatever happened to poor Alexis took place before Castle made amends in 2x01 leading him down this divergent path. My guess is, that after Martha's death maybe even before he applied to Quantico and we will see him again as a FBI Agent. |
| Tank chapter 1 . 7/25/2018 Loved the set up. I too, am a reader/writer who doesn't like to have give certain types of spoiler alerts. By not doing so you've given your readers a host of questions that will need to be answered and how those questions and answers will affect the principals of your story. I also liked the misdirection of the beginning of the story which only served to reinforce the selfish nature of Josh that fandom has placed on him even though the show never really showed that aspect beyond his "need" to fly around the world helping the disadvantaged which really doesn't make him a bad guy. I'm excited to see what direction this tale will take and look forward to next installments. |

I was still a bit distracted by trying to find the logic in why Kate wouldn't have heard or read about Martha, as well as her total surprise that Rick had left town. She seems too connected to have not heard about those two events. But Alexis-ugh! Shocking. I want to read the next chapter, but I'm half afraid of what terrible thing will turn up in it. Interesting beginning, and I appreciate the heads-up in the preface that some bad things would happen. Ever a fan of a peaceful Caskett fic, I hold out hope that the storyline will become less angsty. |
