This is an ok story concept, but so far it's all training montage. And it lost me with the Last Dragon and TMNT crosses. So unnecessary! Read all 10 chapters, won't follow for more.

Second edition truly is best edition... BUT second edition fighters SUCK! 2E is the epitome of "linear fighter, quadratic wizard". Xander totally screwed himself ove unless all they'll ever get is 1-4 levels worth of empowerment. At high levels a fighter with good gear can usually kill one equally leveled enemy per round, while a wizard of the same level wipes out armies. Of the same level. I've seen it. Hell, I've DONE it.
