I loved this chapter, not gonna lie. I'm glad to see you've returned and that in many ways you've grown as a person, its always nice to hear that as well. Ash and Leaf's dynamic was very nice, and I'm admittedly a bit sad that we won't be getting much more of it in the near future. Good luck with Medical School, it was really rough for me as well but I don't regret it!

another good chapter. The Beedrill swarm was intense and ash’s team is coming together. A few grammar errors here and there but nothing glaring. Overall very good chapter.

As for the actual chapter, I'm excited to see who joins Ash's team next. Probably a price pokemon for the St. Anne's Tournament? You have a good elemetail set up right now: Fire (Igneel), Earth (Rexus), Wind (Zephya), Water (Abzu) and... erm, Mystics? Yeah, let's go with that. (Titania). Considering that I'm placing my bet on an Electric or maybe Dragon. I just hope that if a dragon joins it isn't one of the Dratini line. Those are in 90% of the stories. I know they're the Kanto natives but really... sigh. (You won't see me complaining much if you do though, it's just a preference of mine)

Great start! Always like stories where ash has common sense and is a capable trainer. Charmander is a solid choice and the kings nature thing seems vaguely familiar but it’s cool. You give great details and the world is very interesting. I like the trainer rank system a lot.
