Great job with this story. With Sarah essentially being back to the Sarah Walker from the pilot episode, I thought Chuck was smarter than to try to appeal to her with emotional pleas. That wouldn't have worked. What you've written in Chapter 1? That's exactly what would've gotten through to Sarah. Same with Casey and Morgan's entreaties. They're all smart enough to know that the Sarah Walker of old would've responded better to logical arguments. Thanks for this.

Love this! Just some of the million little details that made Chuck vs Sarah ridiculous. When Sarah came back the very first thing they would have done is to take her to a hospital and given her an MRI to see what the glitched intersect did to her brain. They would have asked a bazillion questions to gauge her cognitive function and would have damn well noticed an earwig so it would have been immediately obvious that she had significant memory loss. The list of flaws is VERY long.

I like this story. Much more consistent and intelligent behaviour from the characters compared to canon.

THANK YOU for writing much, much, much better those last two episodes. I haven't rewatched S5 since I binged the series for the first time a few months ago. Stories like yours makes it hurt a little less.

I definitely like this re-imagining better than the episode writing itself. In fact, I found the scene where Chuck cried about how Sarah could love a nerd like him quite cringey.

I thought Morgan came off a fair bit strong, and from the first chapter I wasn't convinced Casey needed to do much of his dialogue with Sarah as he did here, but overall I really liked this. Especial shout-out to how it ended with the team reuniting rather than Sarah being forced to choose whether to stay with Chuck after only a few moments or so. (Well, perhaps the final paragraph is intended to be interpreted as such, but I interpret it a little differently I guess.)

Way better done then the actual show, as always you use much better logic then the actual writers.
However, they had also decided to wipe out five years of the best character development on the show.
It is ultimately Chuck's story and Sarah turned out to only be considered a tool to show of his development as a character. Just very sad if you ask me. As a big fan of Chuck I was very disappointed by the final three episodes and the rushed feel of it all. It was like they knew they only had 13 episodes but were hoping for a back 6 pick up as had happened in previous seasons. When they finally got the word that there would only be 13 they had to really truncate and remove scenes and plot lines. I listened to a Chuck podcast that happened a week after the finale with Fedak. He gave the explanation for Quinn as being the agent originally destined to receive the Intersect 1.0 and that Bryce's actions had somehow cratered his career. I don't know how his justifiable anger at Bryce transferred to our reluctant spy named Chuck. That is one leap of logic Fedak could not explain at all. Also, he said that he almost had that scene in Chuck vs The Baby where Sarah tells Molly she had a stuffed dog she named Sam as a nod to her reveal of her 'real' name to Shaw instead of Chuck. Remember that show was called Chuck vs the FAKE name. However the scene was changed when he remembered that they had removed a scene from Shaw's first episode where Sarah and Casey are correctly (IMO) suspicious of Shaw and are going to check into his background and dig into his past.

A well thought out story carefully filling in the potholes of the original series.

Willie you make great alternate story but you also left her unfinished i would go in two direction Sarah goes solo and finished Quin as her revenge path or as whole team B. but of course Sarah would do the final blow hopefully not just a bullet but that was just sick all me and if she fells something about Chuck when she doing it it would be great.

Willie it was great chapter and reading it i wonder what a hell those screenwriters are smoking when they wrote last two episodes this would so much better then what we see in the show.

I think Casey acted cold because she would expect that from him. To add credibility to himself and his words. She could have seen only him as compromised by Chuck. Casey would have looked like a loyal lapdog who tried to do something underhanded, not a coworker worried about where her loyalties lie. Basically, she might have thought that she did her job too well on him too and really sold her 'love' for Chuck.

Yeah, so much better than canon, even though that's a low bar to clear. I love the idea of Morgan saving the day as so often his character was more of a laughing stock.

I often go back and review clips of the show as research for my writing. I've come to the opinion that, while Sarah didn't deserve the mental anguish that beating up Chuck would eventually bring her,
Chuck definitely deserved a beating for his monumentally stupid approach to convincing her. It's just one of the many, many ways that the writers let us down at the end of the show.

This on the other hand, this story... This is what we SHOULD have been given. It wouldn't have undone the way they betrayed Sarah's character, but it would have made at least a little sense.

Hail Mary is right, & point to all the little tell that if Sara was thinking would have tell her something is very wrong.
