Reviews for The Worst Prisoner: The illusion of separation (Book 2) |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() Jet is soooo bi! I’m so happy someone else saw Jetko in their interactions! Jet had a massive crush on Zuko. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ha, maybe book/season 2 was an earthquake? No time for a long review now; I have to go read book 3. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think my favorite bits were the 18 minutes of tea special and the ocean. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ...no. Just no. Jet. Airbender. Does not compute. I'm interested to see how you make *that* work! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I... Part of me thinks I really should feel sorry for Jet, who just saw his two crushes kiss *really passionately*. The other part thinks, Jet, you deserved it. Sorry, dude. |
![]() ![]() ![]() What I want to know is why Jet immediately went to "he's a firebender" instead of "old guy likes his tea way way way too hot". In a Fire Nation-less city, which would make more sense? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ooo, now I wanna write one where reports of airbenders keep popping up throughout the hundred-year war...Fireborn airbenders. (Recessive genes, XD) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Um...did you know you have two identical "notes", one right under the other? You might want to delete one. It's pretty weird. Otherwise, great job! Merry Christmas! |
![]() ![]() If you want Jet and Zuko to meet again, perhaps the Day of Black Sun? A significant amount of Northern Air Temple forces took part in the attack, and it’s not like Jet would ever turn down an opportunity to attack the Fire Nation, especially at their capital. |
![]() ![]() For the Kyoshi Warriors, my headcanon was that the organisation had a somewhat dark history during the war. They don’t seem like the kind of people to do nothing during the war, I believe they once fought the Fire Nation but were regarded by both sides as being particularly vicious. The Kyoshi Warriors don’t seem like an organisation above cruelty, when they were introduced they would have fed three children to a sea monster for trespassing. Maybe the leader before Suki was cruel and vicious to the Fire Nation and would commit warcrimes to beat them (think Jet). Some Kyoshi Warriors may have left because of this. But these tactics, while cruel, are effective and they become an nuisance for the Fire Nation. A Fire Nation General cooks up a plan to kill them (the General might even be Iroh, this would be before Lu Ten dies), which lures them all into one area. The Fire Nation then slaughters them, decimating their ranks until none are left. You might even expand on Suki’s backstory by having one of the women killed be her mother or something. |
![]() ![]() Rage!stalking is a great descriptor. Upon a rewatch or two, Jet's obsession with Zuko becomes more prominent and really does come off as a crush rather than just, "why can't we be friends?" Loved the queue bit. Your thoughts for Sokka are spot on and always great. |
![]() ![]() Had not gotten to this fic yet, finally did. Loving it. I totally agree that Sokka is group leader, weirdly because he is a non-bender. In a fair amount of episodes, he's giving cues to the team as to what to do. Also, he's actually the most level headed because he controls how much emotion he shows. I actually wanted to write a fic about a rewrite scene at the western air temple when Zuko joins. Sokka sees the logic in having a firebender in the group, no matter who that firebender is. I'll have to go rewatch the episode but I swear that Sokka is fine with Zuko joining until he mentions Combustion Man. |
![]() ![]() Is the next book going to come out sometime soon? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, I just loved this so much and forgot to comment on the first story because I was binge reading both of them. The characters are hilarious but serious when they need to be. I like how you've changed the story to include Zuko on their adventures but it seems realistic rather than forced. I'm looking forward to reading part 3 when you get around to writing it. |
![]() ![]() I zipped thru both books in 2 days, staying up late and not paying attention in class. lol It's an amazing journey so far. The characters seem even realier than in the show. their inside jokes make you feel included in the journey as well. They interact with eachother like how real people do. I love your writing style and how much it influences the story, more than that I am deeply in love with the story, a true testament to what not only fan fiction can be but literature can be as well. |
