Reviews for Titanfall |

shiro-wolfman-k chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 Thank you! It's nice to see that, yes... people aren't holding the I-diot ball regarding Taylor and Amy's relationship and sudden changes. That, they're in fact, concerned but aware of the falls as well, and willing to assist and offer help. It's now, I feel, far more healthier, at least. And it's even better to see that if their relationship works or not, is still up to them, and it's quite probably that it will not work, as most first time relationships come to pass. I was about to also complain that the Dallon's aren't the most... stable bunch, so their test would be also quite biased and probably have some severe problems. But you also touched that as well, really well done in that regard. I feel now more... at ease, satisfied? With that state of affairs. Now, on to the plot. Reading more about Titanfall ended up with me, finding a little bit of machinery that could, probably would put Dragon or the Saint's on edge if they find about it. The Data-Knife. As it's, Saint is going to freak, if not already doing that about the presence of Operator and BT, in fact, this should probably launch them into a full attack mode agains't Dragon, because they now have TWO AI's, and one of them they have no data nor way to counter it, so they would quickly jump to dispose and kill Dragon fast, so they could prevent the two of them "joining up to conquer humanity..." Their fear could even be further enhanced by the fact that Panacea ousted herself, and also the fact that she modified Taylor to work more... seamlessly with an AI, the fact that all of Taylor's friends are going to suddenly gain their personal drones and probably their own modifications. (Though, why Taylor isn't thinking on enhancing her father, afraid that... by not doing so, he might, MIGHT die. Or why isn't BT telling Taylor about the possibility of Danny becoming a target, considering how good as strategy and warfare he is? Enhancing Danny could also open up the possibility of him bonding faster with a certain weapon mistress, is BT waiting for Leet to finish his inferior Titan so he could actually appropiate it, fix it, upgrade it, then gift it to Danny? So the whole family would be soundly protected and able to fight against many of the quite big amount of enemies present? Specially as it's quite obvious that they had probably, garnered the attention of certain murdering hobos...) Going back to Saint... The modifying, "Trans-humanism..." could be perceived as the machines already trying a take over, so they would try to idiotically attack and destroy the AI's and "the corrupt human" that had sold its soul and betrayed humanity as a whole. A fight that... might become messy, probably killing Dragon, (if she hasn't already taken her chances to back up with BT), or ousting her as an AI, which would then divide the public because, Saint and his group are idiots, but that doesn't mean that they're alone. The world is full of idiots that will perceive his fears as well based, and would actually back him up. The tobacco, beer and pharmacetical opiods business might even want to use that to their benefit, as attacking BT is also, putting Panacea in the line of fire, said companies play dirty, and will not remain idle when someone is taking billions from them by curing the addicts. Yes, people can still consume, but not as much as before, and probably could end up losing a lot of money with the decreased revenue. Also, STD's... Panacea actually creating cures of those should make some pharmaceutical business foam on the moath in rage as that could potentially in the long term, put them off business. But here's the deal... Panacea creating virus to cure... would probably impulse a certain little girl in the hands of a psyco to create other horrid and clearly tailored viruses in response. Igniting as well a full battle of Bio-thinkers that no one want's to happen... Though, If I remember correctly, I think the murdering hobos are right now, under fire by a certain jealous "hero"... aren't they? And... another problem as well. They have now, a certain flying troll probably (or not, depending on your decision), afraid of what BT can do, but there's still a water creature that might perhaps, be too fast and probably a quite effective method to deal with BT if it ends up dragging it into water... Hm... is BT also creating counter measures against Leviathan? and let's not forget, the one that actually, is a real problem for BT among the Endbringers, the darn thing that can, crush, burn/fry BT and Taylor, that's actually inmune to the power and abilities from gun and blades with its Dinamokynesis. Also, if BT and Taylor manage to help enough and they kill an Endbringer... that means new ones appearing faster, like Konshu, and the twins as well... which would also be far more challenging for BT as they're mostly, tailored to attack helping heroes and are militaristic targets.) Still, curious to see where you're taking the story. So far, it's been nearly three days, there's still a long run to go, and so, SO much could happen. (Simurgh could simply get one of those that are controlled by her without knowing, close to Taylor, to see how to dispose of her... Leviathan might attempt to sink the bay faster, probably dunk into the ocean the robot, rendering it, useless or destroying it entirely... and Behemoth... well, so far, Behemoth is the one that I see BT and Taylor actually having quite, QUITE serious troubles with). |

TSFreedom chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 Great chapter . |
frisbeeg70 chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 "Vicky nodded "We are an independent team, not a bunch of costumed idiots." Nice to see someone not treating New Wave as a simplistic caricature. |
firelordeg chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 thank you for sharing another fantastic chapter as well as for all the time and effort put into this story please continue to update as soon as life allows |
Mugen-Muse chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 Really hope Taylor and Amy work out. Granted, anything beyond friendship is early, but at least making sure things go no lower than that could certainly prevent any number of world ending disasters. Maybe. Their heads being in a better place might make them more inclined to vent any anger upon a smaller area that's hopefully easier to clean up. |
the DragonBard chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 Not a big fan of bashing pre-Alley Emma, but otherwise cool fic. |
Moon Wolf 96 chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 Loving the longer chapters. |
viningc chapter 8 . 12/6/2018 Chapter 8: Thank you for this latest addition to your story. While needed, I found the descriptions at the beginning during the PRT meeting not near as interesting as the give and take between Taylor and her friends. I look forward to the continuation of your story. |

Drunkle Qrow chapter 7 . 12/2/2018 What even is this!? |
RPGmastar chapter 7 . 11/30/2018 4 MEGS of memory in a modern day pc? You would be using that thing as a expensive paper weight. I think you meant 4 GIGS of memory. |
shiro-wolfman-k chapter 7 . 11/29/2018 Sigh, I'm going to have to protest here, lightly. I don't mind when Authors decide to ignore canon, and the fact that Taylor is Het, (and that she has a thing with Grue, until it ends, though she's still surprised a few years later when she finds that he moved on). Mosltly, because the sad truth of Worm is that... the males are... minimal, idiots or adults. The more developed characters are girls, so fans... beings fans, immediately jump to ship Taylor with other girls, even when she obviously doesn't feel sexually or emotionally attracted to them. Now, rant about Canon done. And before you go all, "You're an homophobic..." Let it be said that I don't mind when Taylor is made a les, if done well. Sadly... here? It's not done well... At all. Taylor went from a girl with severe emotionals problems with a ludicruously low selfesteem, and someone that's actually attracted to girls, to suddenly, not having those problems anymore and actually, suddenly and out of nowhere, probably attracted to girls. Amy went from someone that's horridly obcessed with Vicky, to the point that she LOATHES someone that only wants to be his friend and get along, simply because he's Vicky's boyfriend, which makes her resent him due to jealousy. All of that, which is something that actually is part of her character, is gone, just like that. Worse, it's the way Amy seemed to have transfered her obcession with Vicky, toward Taylor... That... isn't healthy, at all, and in fact, Amy sudden bout of interest should in all rights, have Taylor at least, incredibly uncomfortable, especially when she's doing the work of her doctor and clearly overstepping her boundaries. The fact that everyone, and I repeat. EVERYONE seems inclined to comment how good of a couple they seem. Should make Taylor actually PANIC and feel presured on to something that she SHOULDN'T be sure of. Even if you make Taylor les from the begin, she went from being a kicked puppy to a blushing maiden too fast, too quick to be actually natural, much less organic. It could be implied that BT and what Panacea did could be the cause for such a change, but Amy comes more as an stalker that doesn't accept a NO as an answer in her interest in Taylor, than a love interest. What I am trying to say here? CALM DOWN and TONE DOWN Amy tendencies, make them TALK about the possibility, and don't rush things between them, because frankly, it's horridly out of character for both of them to suddenly CHANGE like that despite things finally going on their way for once. The way you put it, which I know you intented to be somewhat light, comical. Feels more like Amy had transfered her unhealthy level of obsession toward a new objective, this one being Taylor. And Taylor well, she feels more like she's doing what everyone is expecting of her, even with the talk with her father, she was later subjected to Amy violating her privacy, putting her hands over her without ASKING permission under the excuse of "I'm a Medic... here I come!" Then she's mostly teased and the idea that she SHOULD reciprocate Amy, because everyone seems to be pushing for the ship is put on her lap. It... isn't the base for a healthy relationship. At all. Please, I might come as a minority here. And I'm NOT ASKING YOU not to make Taylor les, (I don't care, was more interested about the robot and how it would impact the future, than on who is Taylor attracted to). I'm just asking you to at least, MAKE IT BELIEVABLE, and HEALTHY. Don't fall into the TV Tropes of what constitutes a good relationship because... those are centered in really bad ideals. (Movies still put the whole obcesionlove). Though, I wouldn't object to Taylor being paired to anyone else as well... frankly, Amy is kind of dull... and canonically she actually didn't fully trhusted or liked Taylor, they mostly tolerated each other mostly because they had a need to. Why not Imp? People seem to forget about Grue's sister whom actually get's pretty close to Taylor, almost as much as Tattletale get's close to her. Still, even if you're going with the "Amy now suddenly wuvs Taylor... even when she should've been hideously obcessed with Vicky..." at least, make it more organic, and not the sudden, "Oh, they like each other, blush, blush, grab, grab, this is an anime, where obcession, molestation and lack of respect are signs of pure luv!" Just... tone it down. Or at least explain WHY Amy is suddenly ignoring YEARS of being obcessed with Vicky. WHY Taylor is suddenly comfortable with such attention when she shouldn't be, and at least, the two of them TALKING and getting to know each other before jumping to a love relationship. I'm probably jumping to conclusions here, still. Sorry to bombard you with such a review, you simply tickled my dislikes a little with this chapter with some of the interactions and events. In the end, it's your story and you can do what you please with it... I just needed to take that out of my chest, now... you can continue. |
Mugen-Muse chapter 7 . 11/29/2018 So, Taylor basically has to watch out for under-eating? On the bright side, the Undersiders might have better odds at graduating from the disciplinary barracks than Sophia regardless of whether or not they get lumped together. Though the whole thing might actually knock out whatever crawled up Shadow Stalker. |
Jojobrn chapter 7 . 11/29/2018 I dont understand anything at all. I like it. |
