writegood chapter 6 . 3/7/2019 I think this story is amazing. |
KyonSmith13 chapter 6 . 3/5/2019 Hm, can't say I recognize the baddie who showed up at the end there. Is he a Marvel villain or from some other franchise? Anyway, I enjoyed this chapter. The interactions with a young Operative/Vincent Kapoor/Mordo were a nice touch. Were the digs at Kaecilius's culinary taste a nod to his actor's other role as Hannibal? And indeed it should be hilarious when Nathan's butterflies to the Guardians I plot really bear fruit. Heh. If the canon GotG story proceeds as normal, I get the feeling neither the Collector nor Quill and co. will be too pleased with the empty orb. |
Suspect42 chapter 6 . 3/5/2019 I am curious how your going to fit in Loki in the new magic system. One of the things I disliked about Ragnorak and to a degree Strange's solo movie was the fact introducing mystical forces diminished Loki's capabilities in comparison. My head canon way of resolving this was to acknowledge that perhaps Asgardians nature as "gods" mean they have a harder time tap external forces but they have much greater internal ones that lends alot more to physical enhancements and so in a way it could be interpretted that asgardian disdain for magics in battle in less about mystical forces rather its an act on relying on external forces. Abit of a side topic though still on Loki would be I have always thought it would be cool if it turned out his monstrous children in mythology were simple his early experimentation with bio engineering. That primitives simple made the wrong conclusion due to limited understanding of how Loki created them. Of course Ragnorak kind of killed the idea given Hela and Fenrir are no longer connected to Loki though I have come across the whole theory that the scene we see with Valkyries could have been around the time Laufey tried to invade Midgard making Loki potentially Hela's son and explains why Odin took Loki in after kind of taking on Hela's coloring. |
Suspect42 chapter 1 . 3/3/2019 Decent writing and I am liking the character along side reasonable growth of his capabilities. You did kind of time skip real quick over events which is concerning for future events though I am willing to accept your trying to get to the real meat and don't want to be burnt out covering the fluff. One major concern is that despite being Peter's brother there does not seem to be any real plan to involve the growth of Peter's abilities - he had 3 months to train so no way he did not think and plan but I do agree that given Nathan's exceptionally slow growth before the Infinity Stone its likely Peter would not have been interested nor have the aptitude to tapping the most minor of flickers of Celestial energy. I agree that the movie plot does not make sense when it came to why Ego needed a half-Celestial that was simple channeling his own power. My head canon to even begin trying to explain that was that Peter served as sort of extra processor and ram for accessing the harddrive which is Ego's absurd level of reserves he built up. Of course since Ego builds himself a human form technically as an avatar then it can't be a physical component he lacks nor divergent biology since he likely could build armies of avatars rather I think its a spiritual spark he can't replicate but that he obviously can hijack to tap his own power further. My headcanon for Ego though is that he is actually a sort of sentient Celestial tumor. We clearly see in the first film that the Celestials were mega humanoids - I know in the comics their energy beings bound in Vibranium - so it makes sense to me that Ego could be the remnant of a Celestial and perhaps even Knowhere station head. Of course it could also simple be he is a Celestial seed left behind after the others died and thus was not raised to construct the same form nor really understand their purpose as a people. |
IncognitoMinerals chapter 3 . 3/3/2019 Bing bang boom, dunk this shit right in the trash kiddo. Really though. A de-age nerf on his power out of the blue? McFucking kill yourself, I'm out. |
d1n0s chapter 1 . 3/3/2019 I like how he's been limited yet is still quite powerful. I hope Nathan will be involved with a number of the other possible characters from Marvel, the Avengers have been overdone. |
hadoukendave chapter 6 . 3/2/2019 Really like this story, my only issue is that you de aged him, if you wanted to limit his power there were other ways to do it without making him 5 |
