![]() ![]() ![]() Just got through both Cursed Blood and Hero’s Heart, and I thoroughly enjoyed both. Both works are really well-layered and there’s a lot going on, but you’re doing an excellent job of making sure all of the players get a part. The characters in this story are more flawed and realistic than their canon counterparts which is always a plus for me. I especially like the world-building and the darker, more realistic undertones of the seedier side of Hero Society in this story. Especially the uphill battle this version of Izuku has to face when facing the darkness in Hero Society and the darkness within himself. I was completely invested in both the Osweic and UA Festival Arcs. The latter especially played out better here than in the original story. As someone who lives with chronic illness on a daily basis, I wish you nothing but the best. It’s never easy, but your willingness to keep fighting and to keep writing is awe-inspiring. Keep powering through the flamers and haters both on and offline. You’re doing phenomenal with these works. Take care of yourself. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really dude? They just let him keep the zombie and no one asked why he was abandoned? Nah. |
![]() ![]() I know I'm very late to this but I have to say it. Takeo and Recovery Girl need to stop trying to figure out Izuku's quirk. They are going to release something that should never see the light of day. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is probably my favorite chapter in the story |
![]() ![]() Despite my concerns with the writing, I will offer up that I'm quite enjoying the use of the larger cast afforded by having a full class of potential protagonists, and I'm hopeful to see the betterment of Bakugo, something I hadn't expected after he did what he did on the third floor in middle school. That said, fuck Mineta |
![]() ![]() I've been enjoying story quite a lot so far, but I have some concerns. One of my gripes is some the language used. Describing a grieving woman as "hysterical" or comparing people with down syndrome to zombies leave a bad taste in my mouth |
![]() ![]() ![]() By the way, in English grammar, when you don’t know someone’s sex you should use the masculine. Not a plural. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Same perfume as Tae? You had it written that Tae’s scent was due to degradation in her body from before she died. Which presumably his blood healed, sure should have by now. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Being born in the wrong body is incredibly rare. People twisting their kids or wanting to feel special or do what they think is popular is significantly more common. And this little boy is obviously seeking mental refuge in his female persona from the show he was to act on to distance himself from what happened. There is no reason to believe otherwise and he is too young to be aware of his sexuality regardless. And I don’t see why Recovery Girl thinks she’d get credit for Izuku’s quirk. That’s dumb of her. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Since she’s still apparently in the state she was the moment she died, logically she can be resuscitated. Hospitals do it a lot to people dead a lot longer. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just realizing the meme reference. “The risk I took was calculated, but man am I bad at math” over the crying bird. |
![]() ![]() ![]() If that bar was “3 days worth of nutrition, it must be a massive bar. For three days of calories, going by the 2000 per day, you’d need 1 and 5/7 pounds of pure fat for the lightest possible bar. Compared to regular granola bars, you’d need 31.5 Nature Valley Oats and Honey bars or 60 Quaker CHEWY chocolate chip bars to hit 6000 calories. |
