Read it as soon as this new chapter was published but too lazy to put up a review. But I guess a review may help to speed out the next chapter _. Now please please tell me why Mikaboshi sama could summon an innocent soul like Torajiro (isnt he supposed to be in heaven?) Will you write more about how Sai and Torajiro missed each other, with no less trust and sincerity as displayed btw Sai and Hikaru? Just want to see more of Hikaru's being madly jealous about that situation.:P

you mean i only have four more chapters to go?.. oh well... all good things come to an end eventually, can't wait for the coming chapters (though knowing you i probably am going to be... waiting, i mean... FOR A VERY LONG TIME)

but as i've long ago resigned myself to my fate i will therefore not poke you with the pointy stick (ignore the one in my hand, it's just an accessory... i need syle, you know ;p... and no, my fingers aren't twitching... ... ... not much...)

anyway, this chapter was awesome... i loved it because sai and hikaru both tried to protect each other to a degree that's kinda shocking (sai! fighting! with a sword! kakkoi!)but somehow i've always imagined them doing whatever it takes to save the other. you know, i think the reason i dig your fic so much more over others is because of the sai and hikaru relationship focus, where they're actually explored and delved upon without it becoming twisted like most other fic with the same focus. (i just love relationships where there is a bond other than romance... it just seems more honest and goddamn sincere)

and not just your articulation of the characters thoughts and feelings (which is just phenomenal, by the way... i still bleed for last chapter's moment... damn it, you made me cry!) but also storywise, your fic is filled to the brim with original ideas and it deviates from your run of the mill hikago cliches. and i'm not saying cliches are bad, in fact i enjoy reading the well written ones (which seem to be in steady supply here in the hikago fandom, thank goodness) but your fic is simply... better, for a lack of better words.

so i hope that you'll go on writing more fics... (hopefully hikago) and that you'll be uploading the next chapter faster than you did for this one... cause you'll always have a reader in me.

Yay! New chappie. New chappie good. New chappie very good. Was good. But it was so long since I last read chapter 8a, that I had to go back and skim over the end of it to figure out what was happening. It has been awhile since the last update, but that's how things go. And I would say Imbrium was right about you leaving us all with a cliffhanger. But then hey, cliffhangers are good. They make us (at least me) appreciate you more. Good and well placed cliffhangers do that.

O, how evil the Lord of Hell had been... He even brought Torajiro in. But I've been waiting to see what Torajiro's gonna say once he came back to this world and met Sai again. That would be very interesting

Hmm.. so the true purpose of Osusuki giving Hikaru the fan was to manipulate him to poke himself using it? *grin* And yup, the scene Sai using sword is cool! He is much like Kenshin in some ways ;)

And I'm really happy that Torajiro finally gets some screentime in a fic (especially one as well-written as yours), but... dude, how many more twists can we take? It's already an epic of Hikago fanfiction-I think we all just want some closure, a return to sanity somehow. _~ Not that I'm not enjoying the convoluted depths of the World of the Night, but yeah-as the forest gets thicker, I just can't imagine how Hikaru and Sai are going to get their butts out of this! They do have the last three volumes of the Sai Saga to get through intact, ne? ; Well, I guess this means I'm pretty excited about how you mean to wrap up the fic.

Oh my god! You continued! not that I had actually given up hope on you or anything.. ha ha~ This chapter's just as amazing as the others. For a second, I thought I was reading the wrong chapter up there, but then I realized that the last thing that happened in the chapter before was Hikaru getting brain-washed. See, that's how incredible your story is. Surprises me every time. Even in unintentional ways :) Yeah, I was just thinking of going out and murdering the other 7 chris' here on ffnet. That way I'll be the only one, Ha Ha. Well, keep up with the good work.

Awesome fic. It was both a pleasure and a pain to read it. I just wanted to curl up in a ball with Akira-kun and cry after seeing what poor Hikaru was going through. (I desperately wanted Touya in the story, but at the same time, I didn't want him anywhere near those creatures.)

Kojoro is a interesting character... the past interaction between her and Hikaru was fun. I hope there's still enough time left for scenes like that.

Sandman IS a fun series. Make sure to read the spinoffs (well, after the series, if possible) "The Dreaming" (four graphic novels?), "Death" (two books), "Lucifer" (four graphic novels at the moment)... and that's all I remember. :3 All as usual, by Vertigo DC or vice versa, I can't remember. XD

Ah! Another chapter in the everlasting goodness of 'In the forests' series! I have to kick Old Man Mika-pooshie in the shins for doing all that to Hika-kun!

Anyways, I shake you and Imbrium by the hands! (as in a friendly way but will gradually escalate to a frantic 'update this fic!' sort of motion). I am so frustrated that this fic doesn't have over two hundred reviews by this point! People just don't know a good thing when they see it (tsk tsk tsk). I can't believe how many people make Hikaru suffer, including Hotta-sama (much as great and Godlike as she is). He's already going through traumatising events ever since the first episode of the anime/manga. And heaven knows how many fanfic writers here (including myself) make him go all sentimental over Sai's disappearance.

What am I complaining about? Whatever, as long as you update this fic I will chase it down like how The Lord of Eternal Woe looks to Hikaru as his preordained possession. I'm anticipating what comes with Shuusaku's appearance. I hope I'm not putting too much pressure on you and Imbrium, also sorry if I am scaring you with my enthusiasm as a pursuer of good HnG fanfiction...it's because I suck that I hope other people can do a better job!

I'm thinking of an Akira/Sai/Hikaru A/U-ishie thingamabob...could you possibly read it when I ever get the chance to finish writing up the first chapter? (I'm being shameless! I just stumbled across your fanfiction today. It took a while for me to catch up with the story, but I'm glad I took the time to do so. I'm loving the story so far, it's very imaginative, and you tell it well. (Besides, you seem to be a Neil Gaiman fan. So, how could I not love your work?)
