I see I've read this before. My notes say 'good writing, lots of originality, but some template routine.' I note I got to chapter 4 of the sequel then marked that fic 'routine, tedious' and abandoned it.

Now I've come across the fourth sequel in the updates list and am intrigued to start again and give it another try from the beginning. Dunno if I'm doing the right thing.

I greatly appreciate the simplicity of Harry simply deciding to go back. It comes organically from his surroundings, and it makes much more logical sense than meeting some random deity named Fate or something, or just waking up in the past. I really like that, this time, Harry made a conscious *choice* to go back.

"Oh, her," the man nodded. "We did, very popular she was. We sold her not an hour ago." Harry's heart dropped. "One very happy wee miss got that one. We have a male over here?"

That’s not possible. The owl would have still been there. Harry didn’t get his letter for a long time. In fact, the Dursleys kept the letter from reaching him and even left their home and went to a far away island.

Given the huge delay the owl was still there, yet in this story, Harry got their earlier.

I think this is forced plot where you want to show how the story is changing.

Great Series I'll defiantly follow in you next adventure of this time line.

I really like this story but I get a feeling that Harry is too basic, he was lazy during his first life but it is implied that he is a top tier wizard, he was accepted at hogwarts when he was a baby, he teleported himself when he was a kid, learned the patronus at 13, etc, he is powerful. Now on his second chance he is doing his best, he has more experience and have part of his old power and somehow you still portrait him as a regular wizard, i don’t expect him to be at Voldemort’s level at 15 but he should be way better

I don't like your Gringott's or their goblins at all. It's so different from most of the stories I've read where they use his blood to give him his key and where his Potter account manager is very happy to see him and very helpful.

Such an unusual take on Gringotts.

Glad you remembered to have him get some muggle money so he has a way home.

1st line of this chapter u have used "pasted" (denoting time passing), should have used the word passed.
anyway it is a great story so leave a better review when finished reading!

wondering if Flamel being alive and the philosopher's stone not being destroyed would tie in with how Harry will defeat Voldemort here
The part about the enchanter is interesting too. perhaps a future career for Harry? Even if not i wonder if his slowly growing magical capabilities book 4 is enchanting?

I really enjoyed this first installation in your series! It’s well written, and thought provoking. I like the little details and how it does not feel like a typical “go back in time and do it all again” but a genuine continuation of the story with Harry’s resolve. Thank you for sharing this story with us, now I’m off to read the next one!

Interesting beginning. I don't see how James and Lily's shades could smile at the idea of Harry's death. Sirius or Remus either.
