![]() ![]() Seeing as you are such a good writer I have a challenge for you. It is called Ninjas and Legends of the East. First Franchise. Naruto Second Franchise. Xi You Ji aka Journey to the West by Wu Cheng'en. Third Franchise, Touhou Project. It is rated T. Genre Action/Adventure Ninja's and Legends of the East Part 1: The World of the Story. The World of the story is a merger of the story of Journey to The West, Touhou Project and Naruto. I would like you to stick close to the source material and use Journey to The West as a template for further World Building and for Sun Wukong's past adventures and all of his powers and abilities as well as his old enemies and allies. Do not go with the abridged versions. I would also look at – A Supplement to the Journey to the West; Dǒng Yuè, a literary spin off of Journey to The West 西遊補, written in 1640 and also – Journey to the South also called by it's native name Nan You Ji, written in the 17th-century for more of Sun Wukong's adventures. I would also look at another spin off for the legacy of The Monkey King. That being Hou Xi You Ji Later Journey to the West. If you need information on Journey to the West see Journey to the West Research Blog and video's by these people for research purposes. Journey to the West by Overly Sarcastic Productions. Ten Facts About Sun Wukong the Monkey King by ghostexorcist. The Monkey King by La Volpe. And finally The Monkey King by Extra Credits. For the Books on Journey to the West for research, see Anthony C. Yu's translation of Journey to The West. Ninjas and Legends of the East Part 2: Naruto's journey. Naruto during the Chunin Exams finds the Monkey King's staff and also meets the legend who felt that Naruto had the heart to reach his dream but he needed the power to unlock his full potential do so and Wukong gave him a watered down version of his abilities and becomes his mentor. For reference on how strong Sun Wukong should be in the story See DEATH BATTLE! Hercules VS Sun Wukong. Also look at DEATH BATTLE! Naruto VS Ichigo(Naruto VS Bleach)for the sheer range of Naruto's powers and abilities that he has officially and all that he gains in the story as well. Naruto goes down the events of Naruto Part 1 and Part 2 and also some elements from Journey To the West retold as some of the Great Sages that Sun Wukong made an alliance with on Flower Fruit Mountain also return to either be secondary mentors and allies for Naruto and his team and friends or as villains for the gang to face. But eventually the events of the story start to deviate from cannon as more elements of Journey to The West Media being to appear in the story. And eventually we get some Touhou Elements such as the various Touhou Project Media such as the Touhou Project official Manga series. Ninjas and Legends of the East Part 3: Naruto and the Team's Powers and Adversaries. Naruto not only gains his canon arsenal but also as his first taste of the life of a Hero not only does he have to face down various Demons and Monsters but gains a copy of the powers of Sun Wukong from Journey to The West from the Monkey King himself. Naruto gains all of the power of the Monkey King but also all of his cannon powers and more. Once again for reference on how strong Sun Wukong should be in the story See DEATH BATTLE! Hercules VS Sun Wukong. Naruto getting the Monkey King's powers and becoming a also has a side effect. It causes Naruto to grow a Golden Fox tail because of the Nine Tails influence and also has gold fur across his body and also toes that can grab things like a monkey. But that is not all. Naruto under the guidance of The Monkey King also trains in the Tiger, Monkey, Crane, Snake, Leopard, Mantis, and North and South Dragon Styles of Shaolin Kung Fu. South Dragon Style is a mashup of the various Shaolin Animal Styles. Students work on a paired striking blocking exercise and practice form techniques. North Dragon Style is different. While there are many martial arts that require acrobatic leaps, dynamic athleticism, or the strength to break boards, bricks, or other inanimate objects, Northern Dragon is not one of those arts. Northern Dragon teaches students to stay firmly rooted on the ground, and with good reason. Being grounded to the earth allows the generation of power from the feet on up. What this means is that as an art firmly rooted in the earth, the main physical concern will be building up the strength and endurance in your legs and core muscles that will allow you to maintain a stance for longer and longer periods of time. That’s why its a practice; a discipline. Anyone can do it given the commitment to the practice. Naruto's friends and surrogate family also have their cannon arsenal of Jutsu along with the mystical powers of the Pilgrims from Journey to the West. But despite all these powers and new skills their are negatives. Naruto and the gang have to deal with more enemies. As not only does Naruto has to face the Akatsuki and their lackeys and the other Villains from Naruto but Naruto Uzumaki and the gang have to face monsters from all of Asia's Folklore and also all the old enemies of Sun Wukong some of whom have returned from the dead to try and take over the world or destroy it or they comeback just to get revenge on Sun Wukong. Also The Demon Bull Family make a return and are a major threat. Also Naruto must learn to master his new Mystic Monkey powers given to him by Sun Wukong and eventually master the powers of the Nine Tails and all the powers of Ashura Otsutsuki and everything Naruto has officially. But Naruto eventually gains more power. Also some of the Great Sages that Sun Wukong made an alliance with on Flower Fruit Mountain also return to either be secondary mentors and allies for Naruto and also as some enemies for the Fox/Monkey Squad to be closer to text of Journey to The West. Ninja's and Legends of the East Part 4: Pairings and character portrayals. Everything is like in the official media including ships so no Gender bending or changing sexuality. Everyone is as cannon like as possible. Ninja's and Legends of the East Part 5: Eventually the Demon Bull Family take over The Hidden Rain Village and The Bull Demon King gains all of The Akatsuki member's powers and The Bull Demon King eventually becomes a bigger monster than what he was before as now he has Chakra and Ninjutsu along with his spells. This causes Yokai and also Yaoguai to return in mass and so does the old ways of Magic. To be clear Monsters from China's folklore and also Japan's folklore make a come back and the world is terrified of what lies in the dark. When the Akatsuki are taken out of the picture all the secrets get out and magic makes a resurgence the Ninja World will need someone who has a foot in both worlds. This gets the attention of Gensokyo and it is here where Naruto comes in as he has a foot hold in both worlds and because of this he has to hold the weight of the world on his shoulders. Then things get even worse. Another down side is that Youkai from Japan's folklore make a return and also Yaoguai from China. And they will all want to eat Naruto as they will want to gain immortality and they think eating him will do the job. Villains will also want to steal the Nine Tails from him and people will also try to steal all of Naruto's Mystical powers. Another is that some of the Akatsuki also gain the abilities of some of the villains from Journey to the West and along with their canon arsenal. This causes Naruto to seek out new powers to save the day and to further grow in power. This is when Naruto meets the cast of Touhou Project. When Naruto is looking for help he meets the cast in Gensokyo who further push him to master his powers and develop new ones. Naruto eventually gains more enlightenment super powers at the Myouren Temple. This causes Toyotomi no Miko to also train Naruto in the ways of the Taoist Sages and Taoist Immortals and religious Taoist practices to have her try and show Byakuren up, to prove her training is better, and for Naruto to reach new levels of physical strength and new levels of mystical power by eventually gaining some more Enlightenment Super Powers and Naruto also gains Danmaku skills and also Spell Cards that reflect Naruto's journey in the manga and in this story. The obvious Enlightenment Super Powers for Naruto are Psychic Powers like: Astral Projection, Telepathy, and Levitation. But he gains more power as the training must be physically intense as well because Naruto also trains his body to incredible lengths of power. Now to symbolize this when Naruto masters himself and all of his powers he is going to undergo another transformation after reaching enlightenment Naruto loses the fur and the fox tail multiple's to nine and Naruto resembles a Blonde haired with whisker marks version of Dislyte's Sun Wukong and Naruto also gains all of the powers of Dislytes Sun Wukong, Naruto Uzumaki also gains all of his various Sage Modes from Naruto and also all the powers of Ashura Otsutsuki. But that is not all. You should take a look at the series Shōnen Onmyōji for the last of the mystical abilities that Naruto should get. He learns the art of Onmuyudo from Yukari Yakumo. Now to make this happen you must dig into the cultural inspiration of Naruto to make this arc work along the folktales of Japan and also of the various Yokai and the religions of Japan. Their is so much Asian cultural context you need to dig into and understand to really get Naruto and Touhou Project. Here is a list relevant to the story. Chakra or Chakra's are points of Energy on several points in the human body which stem from Hinduism and Buddhism. Naruto's magic system was originally going to be chi energy but eventually Masashi Kishimoto took inspiration from Japanese Shinto and Japanese Buddhism when making the world of Naruto and also the Classical Elements of Japan and China. Such as Chakra being a energy source that merges physical and spiritual energies in the body to make Jutsu's which is the Japanese translation for both technique and Spell. The Hand Signs are based on the Mudra or the various motions of hands in some forms of meditation practices. But Masahi Kishimoto made the names of the various hand signs the names of Animals of the Chinese Zodiac in Japanese. The three major Summons of Snake, Toad, and Slug were based on the Tale of The Gallant Jiraya who inspired The Pervy Sage. And any more of the summons were based on the various Yokai and animals of East Asia that were said to be mystical and also some of the various Yokai of Japan. The manifestation of animal-like traits in Sage Mode is a reference to the Japanese folktale Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari, where Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru came to study specific animal magic into their ninjutsu use. The sage training method used by the Toads of Mt. Myōboku resembles the practices of Shugendō, a highly syncretic religion that originated in Heian Japan in which enlightenment is equated with attaining oneness with the kami. This perception of experiential "awakening" is obtained through the understanding of the relationship between humanity and nature, centered on an ascetic, mountain-dwelling practice. In some Japanese myths, supernatural creatures often appeared as Yamabushi (mountain hermits) of Shugendō, which the Toad Sages of Mt. Myōboku and White Sage Snake bear some resemblance. But that is not all. Here is something you need to know about. It is about Sage Mode and it's inspiration. You can use this when Naruto wants to learn the Sage Arts in Naruto Shippuden and trains with the Taoist Faction or he brings that knowledge to Gensokyo as he goes down the events of his home series. A Sage (仙人, Sennin) is someone who is able to utilize senjutsu and has mastered the art of Sage Mode. It is also a title given to someone because of their renowned power, wisdom, or holy standing. The term 仙人 (Sennin), refers to the Japanese term of Chinese sages and practitioners of Taoist ways, who have gained immortality and incredible powers through the manipulation of qi, or natural energy through their body by becoming ascetics and living on mountains, where qi is said to gather at the most and to start flowing from into the world. The training and measures needed to become a Sage in Naruto is just as vigorous and demanding, and similar in some regards, requiring one to have massive reserves of chakra, and come to adopt natural energy, not for the pursuit of immortality, but to become harmonized with the flow of the world around them. In the fourth databook, Hagoromo is called "Rikudō no Shinsen" on one occasion. Although both "sennin" and "shinsen" can be translated as "sage", the latter is an archaic way to refer to supernatural beings and even gods. The Mount Myōboku, the Ryūchi Cave and the Shikkotsu Forest are called the "Three Big Unexplored 'Sage' Regions". When Kabuto Yakushi used Sage Mode, he described himself as a "perfect sage", as opposed to Orochimaru, who lacked the body to attain Sage Mode. This suggests that a sage is simply someone who can use Senjutsu. Sage Mode is an empowered state that can be entered by blending natural energy with one's Chakra, creating Senjutsu Chakra. Sage Mode allows users to tap into the natural force of the world, opening up new techniques to them and allowing them to power up existing ones with the new Senjutsu Chakra Senjutsu are a specialized field of jutsu that involve the use of natural energy. Senjutsu practitioners, known as sages, learn to draw natural energy outside their bodies, blending it with their own chakra to create senjutsu chakra. This chakra adds a new dimension of power to the user's techniques, while also allowing for the use of techniques that would not otherwise be possible. In the anime, the term "Honoured Sage Mode" was only used by Jiraiya. This was corrected to "Sage Mode" in later uses, presumably to create a distinction between Jiraiya's use of the technique. Despite granting the user the ability to sense Chakra, Jiraiya, Shima, and Fukasaku seemingly didn't display this ability during their fight against the Six Paths of Pain. In the anime, the snakes of Ryūchi Cave note that Boruto Uzumaki has the potential for senjutsu, having passed trials that proved his strength of body and could handle natural energy Senjustu in Naruto and also the title Sennin is the Japanese translation for a Enlightened Taoist Sage. A Enlightened Taoist Sage is called a Xian translated to mean Blessed or Enlightened One. That title belongs to a Taoist Sage who has ascended to Heaven after having achieved Immortality. Xian refers to a person or similar entity having a long life or being immortal. The concept of xian has different implications dependent upon the specific context: philosophical, religious, mythological, or other symbolic or cultural occurrence. The Chinese word xian is translatable into English as: In Daoist philosophy and cosmology spiritually immortal; transcendent human; celestial being, In Daoist religion and pantheon physically immortal; immortal person; an immortal; saint. In Chinese alchemy a Xian is an alchemist; one who seeks the elixir of life; one who practices longevity techniques and alchemical, dietary, or qigong methods for attaining immortality. In Chinese mythology, a Xian is a wizard; magician; shaman; or sorcerer. Based on the folk etymology for the character 仙, a compound of the characters for person and mountain sage living high in the mountains; mountain-man; hermit; recluse In early Tang Dynasty folk religion conception Xian immortals were part of a small spiritual cabal who had immortal lifespans and supernatural powers, and were enlightened to the works of heaven, which assigned everyone else to a mundane role in the afterlife. Xian semantically developed from meaning spiritual "immortality; enlightenment", to physical "immortality; longevity" involving methods such as alchemy, breath meditation, and tai chi chuan, and eventually to legendary and figurative "immortality". But here is a downside. One Youkai will want to eat him even more as they will want to ascend to a higher rank as that is what happens if a Youkai eats a Taoist Immortal. The Yokai gain greater power and ascend to a higher ranking in the cosmos in East Asian Folklore and in Touhou Taoist intermediaries(Not full Immortals)have to deal with Shinigami going after their hide if their not strong enough. But Naruto after his mystical training not only has to worry about the Akatsuki and also some Youkai trying to eat him but he has an even bigger target on his back with The Demon Bull King wondering how Naruto got such power. This causes Naruto to work to keep Gensokyo secret when people go snooping. Ninja's of the East Part 6: please make sure that this happens before some of the events of the Touhou Project games and before some of the official written works so you can implement them. Here is a list of the written Touhou Project works. Six artbooks have been released containing Touhou Project material. Each of these artbooks has a different theme; for example, Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red focuses on characters, while The Grimoire of Marisa is solely dedicated to different kinds of spell cards. It should be noted that Seasonal Dream Vision is semi-official; it is more of a compilation of comics from various authors, along with an original story written by ZUN himself. Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red Extra of the Wind (comic) Seasonal Dream Vision A Beautiful Flower Blooming Violet Every Sixty Years (short story) Perfect Memento in Strict Sense Memorizable Gensokyo (comic) The Grimoire of Marisa Symposium of Post-mysticism Alternative Facts in Eastern Utopia The Grimoire of Usami Comics: Touhou Sangetsusei details the mishaps and adventures of the Three Fairies of Light as they meet various characters in Gensokyo. Touhou Bougetsushou focuses on an expansion of the events that occur in Imperishable Night, and describe a voyage to the Moon to resolve a mysterious conflict. Technically, Cage in Lunatic Runagate is a collection of illustrated short stories that give more insight into the storyline. Wild and Horned Hermit focuses on a new character named Kasen Ibaraki who regularly visits the Hakurei Shrine, while Forbidden Scrollery focuses on Kosuzu Motoori who works at a bookstore in the Human Village. Lotus Eaters and Foul Detective Satori are still ongoing, while the rest are completed. Touhou Sangetsusei Eastern and Little Nature Deity Fairy of the Moon (short story) Strange Articles of the Outer World Fiction Curiosities of Lotus Asia was the first official supplement to the Touhou storyline. Now completed and compiled into a tankobon, each story is a standalone account of the everyday life of Rinnosuke Morichika, the owner of a small variety store specializing in items from the outside world. |
