Feeling so much pity for Aro, it's hard to hate him, but Il Gambero is ugly on the inside as well. For one who knows how much he was loved, he sure didn't hesitate to smash his mother's beloved Madonna to free its contents, and now he has no ties with the good of his past.

Oh dear. It's sad that Aro went down this path, took power to be the most important part of being a priest, having lost everyone who loved him and whom he loved.

Oh no, this was just cruel. Why did Aro have to lose his mother as well?

He really did have some kind of premonition, didn't he? But how sad that he died so young, just as he had learn to be happy with his family.

There was something symbolic and foreboding about Aro breaking the Madonna statue. Like the Aro from Twilight, Aro will use people's hidden thoughts and secrets to his advantage. Looking forward to seeing how Edward and Bella fit into Aro's schemes.

Wow, that made me cry. Poor Fiammetta trying to reach her Ferruccio. That was just too sad. What a sweet love they had. Interesting that Gio saw through Aro's true nature early on.

Fiammetta surpassed everyone's expectations on what she could do. What an ideal situation for them to have so much help from the Asiago ladies. What a heartbreak about Ferruccio.
