![]() ![]() ![]() This is halo not Star Trek the UNSC has fought a war against EXTINCTION for close to thirty years in no way shape or form would they try to use diplomacy with a alien race in the act of invading a colony after wiping out the defense fleet |
![]() ![]() ![]() Quarians on the fence? Very interesting. Excellent work, as always. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Going to point out some things -What do you mean it's not Prothean?- I'm going to say the obvious in that they probably found a Forerunner structure. Problem I have is that they are far, FAR, more likely to find any one of a million structures created by the previous races culled by the reapers over the last billion years. (over 20,000 cycles) The likeliness of them finding a Forerunner structure Right After First Contact? A billion to one... So, 0% Numerous Dextro worlds would have been catalogued and ignored by Humanity. Great for negotiations Humanities industrial capacity should eclipse the ME races. War-time Humanity was probably about the same, especially considering Humanity builds bigger. With upgraded technology, access to Forerunner technology, and the possible threat of invasion? Shipyards would continue sprouting into existence. There are so many levels to this that I could actually write a full-length essay over it. That the ME races might pose a threat in a few years is a joke unless Humanity finds itself at war with the ex-covenant races again. To put this into perspective: America only had the capacity to build a car for the rich in the early 1900's. Half a century later and nearly every household has one or more. This is before modern industry. Follow that up another half century industrial capacity literally surpasses consumer needs. Unlike current society, they already have the infrastructure and resources. Beyond that, Humanity is used to fighting as David against Goliath. Mix that with the fact that the ME races are limited to Relays - even if they get the technology to expand, it would be decades before they could - preventing them from mounting any reasonable assault. Cap that with the easy task of removing the Mass Relay from any single system, and Humanity doesn't even need to worry about an invasion. There are so many limiting factors against the ME races that war would barely affect Humanity if even a little thought was put into it. The way I see it, Humanity could simply and temporarily move a mass Relay to give the Council a spanking for their intentions to incite further war instead of looking for methods to broker peace. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So I suppose ONI would either retrieve anything they can from Precursor sites in citadel space and then or even just outright destroy them. Either way, I can’t see the council making much use of these sites short term, they’d be starting from scratch using tech they don’t understand and that tech in itself has been designed for use by human hands only and tends to defend itself fiercely from tampering. Either way, due to slip space travel I doubt many precursor sites are on the relay network. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The UNSC about to kick some alien asses I just knew it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "Homeworld" That's where you wrong, kiddo. |

![]() ![]() Dying for a new chapter soon |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like this version of Cerberus. Far more...heroic in a shady way. Definitely better than the ME version. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The Citadel won't even be able to access those Forerunner sites since none of them are Reclaimers. |
![]() ![]() Look forward to the next chapter |
