I recently rewatched gundam unicorn and the D-50c Loto really got me thinking about what a transformable scorpion tank would look like and the Loto really made a good case of what a tank walker could look like.

Okay this is most likely ONI, or it could be the Reapers the. You did say 'dark space', so which is it? If it's ONI then they are doing their job and spying on a obviously hostile threat to humanity. Asset denial missions will start in ONI fashion Krogan join them or they advance the genophage to complete sterilization of their species. The Quarians would be easier for Humanity could say ," join us and you will get to see the homeworld again (Note: this assumes that the Geth wish to have peace with their creators). If not then the Geth Consensus will be a highly upgrade ally of Humanity and they will never in a million years see it again. ONI will look to take over Omega for it's large resource of the mysterious element zero. Prowlers will constantly stoke CC fleets and movements, finding key planets for novas, search for relays in UHF & SU space (if Arbitor Thel Vadam allows it), tracking CC fleets activating relays & where they lead, shipyards, and assassinations & sabotage ops.

With ONI having a actually good head on their shoulders, they could really fuck someone's day. And ONI will actually do their fucking job for once. A war between the UHF & SU will leave Humanity vulnerable to attacks from the Citadel Council. A war on two fronts is a war you will lose. So focus on the more pressing issue on the CC trying to gain more power and deny them such luxury.

Well, if war does come between the CC & UHF/SU then how will they reach their colonies? It is not said that there's a relay or relays in UHF/SU space so, it could be a back door into their space. Any shipping lanes of the CC would be crawling with prowlers and wouldn't get far. Then ONI could place slipspace drives on relays to destroy any in UHF/SU space to close any back doors.

I know, dEsTrOyIng the ReLaY wOuLd DeStRoY the EnTiRe sYstEm. Yes it would, but we're not doing that. We're teleporting it into oblivion through slipspace. With the explosive power of the relays firmly in slipspace and on course to Thessia, Palaven, and Sur'kesh(or the core of the galaxy) :) :).

nice chapter, but one thing stands out. When the reapers were laying waste to all known space, the salarian union still wouldn't cure the genophage. I don't know how the union thinks about all this, just Valern, but if they cure the genophage, I don't know what to think.

This chapter was very good! Not to happy about ONI continuing with their usual bullcrap, kinda thought the UNSC cleaned house after the end of the war. Id rather spend time kicking around some aliens.

I actually never read a story where First Contact lead to a all out attack on the Citadel itself. The "negotiations" were hardly that. They were not demands but orders. I imagine ONI is working on a cure for the Krogans, plans for the Batarians, and maybe something to help out the Quarians.

Theirs a line in the sand now, who will cross it first.

Finally a realist humanity not bowing to the citadel. I hate the fics were the superior humanity bows to them even though they can obviously win. Not to mention the needing resources schtick which makes no fucking since considering that in the asteroid belt alone there is enough resources to provide for humanity for hundreds of years.
