Huglord chapter 4 . 1/8/2019
You had me untill the two humanities. I how you have a great reason for the two because I have seen many a fic go down in a burning wreck because of it. I will still be cautiously reading.
ReviewerDWJ chapter 4 . 1/8/2019
This was turning out to be a good story until you announce there are to be two humanities. The idea that the Mass Effect Humanity is descended from ancient Humanity is a good idea but has too many plot holes.
Here is how to fix it:
1. It is not the ancient humanity that fled the Forerunners or the flood but the weakest samples of ancient humanity that was devolved by the Forerunners after the war. This is back by Halo 4 terminals that show devolved humans present on a Halo ring.
2. They were put in one place by the Librarian, her Lifeworkers, and the Builders in order to protect the scattered devolved humans from the Ur-Didact.
3. The place they put them was Shield World similar to Onyx/Trevelyan. They were put in the shield world's Micro Dyson Sphere.
4. Eventually these descendants would be push out to the surface of that world by the world's Monitor who terraformed the surface to resembled Earth beforehand then sealed all ways of reaching the Micro Dyson Sphere inspiring Adam and Eve along with other creation myths.

That done I would like to voice that I agree somewhat with SierraB312 on what may come next. While I do believe that UNSC Humanity can kick the Turians butts; I don't want to see all out war or the war to end with one battle because of the Asari diplomacy even if they could get Humanity's first Specter and a group of human warships to escort the envoy. I would like to see the Turians paying a heavy price for this battle of New Madrid. I would like to see the UNSC humanity not budging diplomatically until all Turians in the system surrender to the UNSC even with the Council interventions and then the Turian Hierarchy paying heavy reprehend for the damage they caused. That is what tends to pissed me off on most Halo/Mass Effect fanfics that have first contact war scenarios even with UNSC Humanity replacing Mass Effect Humanity; the Turians don't pay the price for starting a war.

I would like to point out that you open a perfect way to having the Citadel Council to finding out about the battle because of how timeline wise you stated that while it takes place a little after Mass Effect 1, the Council took the threat of the Reapers seriously.

Other then what I just griped about I do enjoy the story and look forward to the next chapter.

CDT chapter 4 . 1/7/2019
i have an idea about the systems alliance, are ex rebels ex unsc soldiers and civilians who fled during the human covenant war. and it is possible to reintegrate them.

ps: the SYSTEMS ALLIANCE, are ALSO HIDING THE UNSC EVEREST FROM THE CITADEL COUNCIL.

SierraB312 chapter 4 . 1/8/2019
As interesting and novel as it may be, there are some serious issues with ME humans being the descendants of ancient human (AH) refugees. The first being how they regressed and devolved to where they are now as AH could live for millennia and were much bigger, stronger and more intelligent than modern humans. The second problem being how AH evaded Forerunner detection and as well as the Flood since the Forerunner-Flood war practically consumed the entire galaxy, that being said, they also wouldn't know Halo and would have no means of protecting themselves when the Array fired. Even if AH left the galaxy prior to the Great Purification, I can't see how they could have regressed into ME humans. The third problem would be the loss of their technology and knowledge, while they probably could not bring much with them as they fled, the knowledge to create and maintain technology would have been stored within Servitors, which are comparable to Forerunner Ancillas, so it is unlikely that they could have had a technological collapse. So while it is a nice idea for ME humans to be AH refugees, in my opinion, it is not feasible.
On a side note, it would be interesting if a full scale war broke out and that it was not cut short by those pretentious Asari. Make those arrogant Turians feel the pain and let them know what true war is.
Knighthunter911700 chapter 4 . 1/8/2019
I love it. Can’t wait to see more and would love a scene of 300 UNSC ships lead by 117 against 10000s of enemy warships. So basically reenactment of 300
BattleUnit3 chapter 4 . 1/8/2019
800 vs 26 with 120 casualties? Respectable numbers. Man the UNSC is going to be like "so this is how the covenant felt"
Hamilton406 chapter 4 . 1/7/2019
Ok I like this story. Don’t make this a one battle then peace with the citadel. UNSC should have no ties what so ever with the citadel to. So no trade or anything. The only thing the UNSC should consider is the system Alliance. And that’s a maybe because it would depend if the system Alliance is willing to join the UNSC and leave the council or not
Carlosxvx chapter 4 . 1/7/2019
30000 ships is not imposible, un fact just one years after The far a little more than 4,000 ships were created , The problem of creating ships for The pre-war unsc was The time it took for The transportation of resources normaly it took months it was a problem that was resolved after The war with better slipspace ,from 5LY to 2,600 LY per day, also ancient humans were 1.80M to 4M so they have to be Devolved in fact unsc got The genetic modifications spartans are a great example to that, while The SA follow council law so they are normal humans, even unsc marine armor is a power armor and every one of its members got genetic modifications , on another note spartans were replacing The odst's by 2557 there were almost 10,000 active spartans and a couple thousands more that oni created with as far as we know 20,000 more that were being trained , tanks to The genetic modification spartans were becoming what ancient humans were, what The libraryan did to The máster chief was upgrade him so his evolution would start, also you did know that they recovered The janus key, they actually obtain acces to all forreruner teck and The location of everything of forreruner origin in real time, so marines should be using at least a class 2 combat skin which is a lot better than anything un mass effect also The energy projector (unsc) was a lot stronger than The ones used by The covenant , and a question was this colony that was atacked more than 10,000 LY away from The closest unsc sistem i mean by now they should be able to go at least (unsc ships) 5,000LY per day but hey as long as you dont buff shepard and nerf The spartans to make shepard equal to spartans i wont complain .
ferduran chapter 4 . 1/7/2019
Please do not made peace easy for this story. All the crossovers that I had read are always the same and they made peace after the Asari show up. Please made them see a real war.

Also I saw that the ME people also had their humans with the System alliance. For me they had always been the neuter civilization in sci-fy, so please made them see what they could had advance if they had just stay strong.

By the way I had just one question. Why new Madrid didn't had a FTL communication devise?
Pteaset chapter 5 . 1/7/2019
Wow now that is what you call a cliffhanger
