This was a great story. I have to say that a tear fell down my face as well at the end.

Just wanted to say I've enjoyed rereading this lovely fic, finding it even better than the first read. A well written and lovely story.
| Desertfyre chapter 20 . 5/14/2010
I greatly enjoyed this story! Loved Jael btw! And I'm glad that Jorem was punished...I figured he might not be able to leave well enough alone and do something dumb to get him sent to death.
Great job with this story! D

Wonderful, beautiful, and truly heartfelt story. I found myself tearing up several times while reading this. I love me some FrodoHealers stuff, so this was very enjoyable. You write well and everyone was pretty much in character. I also really enjoyed and grew attached to your OCs, especially Jael. I like how caring for Frodo gave her a new purpose.
There were so many tender moments in this story. I love how much everyone cared for Frodo.
This story was a perfect mix of adventure, hurt/comfort, humor, and emotion. Like, for example, the scene with Frodo using the pens are darts had me laughing but then when Sam patiently was teaching Frodo to write again... that almost made me cry. Great story, and thank you for writing it! :)

Great story! It almost made me cry at the end.
| Anonymous chapter 18 . 12/20/2004
This story is beautiful and you have, in fact, taught me two new words - thank you very much for them.
There are a few problems in the story, though, which can be easily fixed without doing much to the plot. In the scene when Frodo has his bath, he mentions finishing a roll before taking it, then he bargains with Jael and says he will eat the roll he has already eaten. You also say that it is hard for Frodo to write because of his missing middle finger, instead of his missing ring-finger, which marked him as having bourne the Ring.
Thank you very much for this story. You write Aragorn, Frodo and the others so well that I spent the better part of two days (even with college finals going on) to read it! I love the descriptions and lack of violence, but not of tension. I will forever remember this story. Thank you.
I love the pens in the wall!
| Leia Wood aka Cascadia chapter 20 . 6/14/2004
Beautiful story! It's been very delightful reading over the last few days. Thank you for writing it! :)
| Kaewi chapter 20 . 6/14/2004
As I was reading this chapter, I realized that I haven't reviewed in a long time! I don't even know why. Maybe I was reading them after another chapter had been posted, and never went back to review the last one. Anyway, chapters 17 through 20 were amazing P I really love the epilogue, it is probably my favourite chapter. It just ends everything so nicely, and leaves a lot to the imagination (like Frodo's departure). I like how Frodo had the shell right in his pocket when he was reading her letter, it was a nice detail. Can't wait for more work from you! Maybe even another FrodoHealers one...?
| Shire Baggins chapter 20 . 6/2/2004
What a wonderful story! The epilogue was poignant as Frodo knows his life in Middle Earth is coming to a close and he will never see many of his friends in Gondor again. Thank you for sharing this story with us!

This is a beautiful story and is on my favourites list.i'm pleased you gave Jael some children.
I hope you will write more in future, maybe about the remaining Hobbits visiting Gondor ?
Thank you for such an enjoyable and memorable story.

| Aemilia Rose chapter 17 . 1/6/2004
Oh gosh . . .
No matter how much I hated Joram, seeing him killed like that . . . was . . . *shiver* how can I say this . . . terrifying? *hugs knees to chest and rocks back and forth* And how he looked right at Frodo . . . Well, if I were in Frodo's shoes- erm, pardon the word, it's just an expression- my heart would have stoped right then and there.
Update soon please!
| Shire Baggins chapter 16 . 11/25/2003
That was a great chapter and I am so glad you updated. I was happy to see Jael back with the hobbits, especailly since Frodo is still so weak. I have to admit that I am a little worried about Frodo being back in his old room while the other hobbits are still in hiding. I hope nothing happens to Frodo (oh, ok, maybe I do!). Looking forward to another chapter soon!
