I don’t think anyone is arguing that Hermione cannot be insecure, the issue is more that we have been shown years of AU activity, some of which calls of more suspension of disbelief as in watching the Dursleys change way from canon, and Hermione’s behavior says Well, all of that didn’t matter, we’re just going to go back to canon. And by the way having a friend you see once a week for a few hours is vastly different from having no friends.

Really, Hermione has had Harry as a friend for years but she behaves exactly the same as canon? Apparently she is compelled to go cry in the bathroom either way.

Petunia tells Harry to go to the toilet on the train. Little Whinging is in Surrey, so the train would almost certainly be a short distance suburban one and they don't have toilets.
JKR made a train mistake in book one with Harry going home from Paddington. No train from Paddington goes to Surrey, they go west. Surrey is south of London served by trains from Waterloo, Victoria, Bkackfriars and London Bridge

Story was ok but definitely didn't enjoy it much. Took way to many chapters to finally reach 1st year. Then all the Hogwarts chapters are short. There Hogwarts break chapters I pretty much skip because I didn't care any longer after previous chapters before they reach the train station kind kill the interest in there break. There were few more I dislike but I did enjoy a few things. Mostly enjoy Hogwarts chapters and Dumbledore plan go down drain. I give it O.W.L grade of (A) acceptable.
