Hey there Neoshipper! It seems you haven’t updated in a while, I hope everything’s okay and it’s just a case of unrelenting writers block!
First off, I’d like to say that this is an interesting take on Kouga and Kagome pairings, I’m relatively new to the fandom but it’s nice to be introduced to a fan fiction and an author that actually, you know, PROOF READ their work. To be honest, I’m tired of sifting through 10 bad fan fictions to get to one decent one.
Anyway, I’d just have one thing to suggest, and that’s to maybe ease off a lot of the Japanese one-liners. I know how tempting it is to insert a ‘daijoubu’ here or an ‘Ohayou’ there, but to be totally honest it takes the reader outside of the story because it’s not consistent. I had to look up a lot of the words you used because aside from an extremely vague understanding of the Japanese language (and when I mean vague, I mean virtually non-existent) I’m left feeling very confused.
I understand that you’d want the story to have some authenticity to it, but straddling the two languages doesn’t make that much sense to me. We all know that in actuality, Inuyasha was written in Japanese; so it’s safe to assume that in reality they would all be speaking Japanese. So I don’t think you need any ‘reminders’ of what language Inuyasha was originally spoken in because we understand that Inuyasha’s origins are from Japan.
Anyway, aside from that little critique, your stories looking great and I’m excited to read more!
